This was a large piece of avocado Wood, with several crotch Sections that I had hopes of looking and having some nice Grain patterns and some nice color. The crotch sections did not produce as much interesting design or pattern as I would have hoped. However while turning this piece it had the look of Saturn in the Back of my mind. I continued with that thought and began shaping the ball with the rings of Saturn on the piece of wood by leaving an extended ring around the outside of the wood. As you can see as you continue through the video how that turned out.

Very nice! I like how the wood determines the final shape. When you started I expected your final bowl to be more orange.
Will it keep its colour or will it fade?
