Nice I have a 1994 saturn SC2 going to rebuild with my daughter

Doyle Andrews says:

I've got a sc1 single cam, I've been dealing with a miss fire cyl 2 at idle and occasional high idle, after plugs wires and coils still misfire, I just Kapoor driving it daily, I was leaning towards injector, then on Tuesday of this week, this misfire stopped
But now I'm getting a little lifter noise , now I'm thinking I may have a timing issue as well. 02 @ 167,000

Thanks for sharing, I have to get at the timing chain on a 1996 Saturn and I did not want to pull the engine! You have answered my question!

I have a 1997 Saturn SC2 with 100,000 miles and needing a timing chain cover as it started leaking. So hard to find parts but I luckily found the cover from a seller. That's pretty awesome that this timing chain lasted until 210,000 miles.

Can the crank pulley be removed without an impact? My engine mount broke, so I need a new timing cover. One at local u pull but I don't have a battery impact.

Chubbs McNubnub says:

Any advice on head removal? The head bolts seem buried under the camshafts, so I would assume they need to come out first?
