Saturn Ion, How to Change Front Struts, Rear Shocks & What Shops Charge For This Job…..

I changed the front struts and rear shocks on this saturn Ion! Shops charge so much for this job! This is literally one of the easiest strut and shock replacements that i have ever done! Save your money and go out and buy the tools yourself and take care of this yourself! I did also call around to see what shops charge for this type of job. Enjoy the video and feel free to share!!

How did the KYB Excel Gs fit? I bought some and didn't fit, the tubes on the bushings were too long.

Unbelievable what shops would charge for this job, I called around as well (dealerships and mechanics) got anywhere from $500 to $1000 to do the front and rear. One place told me $1000, and i told them I must be in the wrong line of work.

Kenny Slaven says:

On your end links their is a Allen bit at end of stud coming out. You use allen bit to hold the bolt on other side of boot for the joint and you use open end wrench to loosen nut off or tighten

John Lukach says:

Very easy job front and back

Elvis Contreras says:

I don’t like judging but you should use something to support your knees, maybe a cardboard or knee pads if you’re in straight floor because that’s the worse way to get your knees hurt.

Kris Gordon says:
