How to replace the battery in a Saturn. This is a pretty simple job to do. all you need is a few tools as i will show in this video. And in no time at all you will have a new battery in your Saturn and it is close to the same process for many cars. You could use this video as a guide for many types of cars or trucks like dodge, ford, Chevy, GMC, Toyota, and many more. thanks for watching shanesmaineshop I will put a video up at the end to show how we found out it was the battery.

This isn't the Sega Saturn… Good video nonetheless, but I'll be confused why YouTube recommended me this.

cc cc says:

hmmmm, ty for the vid

Christopher Brooks says:

Just used this video to change out a Saturn SL2 battery. Very helpful, especially the wrench sizes! Thank you!

Raul Zaragoza says:

Hey I got a question, so I plan on getting a new battery for my SL1 and the screws have lost grip, do you know where I can get new ones, the ones that connect to the battery

Thank you so much for this vid. I honestly thought the metal parts(terminal posts) was off limits because of potential sparks. lol It does light up the dash but will not turn over. Does not even make any kind of noise when I turn the key so I'll have to take it out then bring to Auto Zone for them to see if it's still good and just needs a good charge. Thanks again.

Oblivious Demise says:

This vid is helping is still helping in 2019…have a 2001 Saturn that is only used to get to school. We start school tomorrow and the car wouldn't start. We jumped the car 3 times but as soon as we cut it off it wouldn't come back on. So we came to the conclusion it was the battery. It was warped on the side just like your battery so that confirmed our suspension. Thanks for including the size of the tools and telling us to make sure the battery charges are on the correct sides.

Beware the Lily of the Valley says:

While this isn't my exact car model (well, I have a 2004 Saturn L300, so it's barely in the same category as your car, lol), this was really helpful! I'm about to watch your video on how you determined the battery was bad as I'm really hoping that's all that's wrong with my car, though it's possible it's the alternator. Regardless, thank you for the videl!

murfspop says:

adding the tools needed was an excellent touch.

Judith Barnes says:

Thanks so much for this video – just what I needed and also adding the size sockets was a very nice touch. Usually I just go thru the box until I find one that fits.
