In this video I show the steps to Install a new Head Light Bulb in a GMC Acadia. GM made this process a lot harder than it needed to be. But with this video I show how to change the light bulb in a few minutes. The secret is to get up and under the fender and reach in to the light bulb socket. This is the same process for the Chevy Traverse, Saturn Outlook and the Buick Enclave. I have also found that the really expensive Halogen Headlight for this car burn out in less than a year. I have started buying the Cheapest one and they see to last longer. I have used the Sylvania Ultra H11 light and the normal Sylvania H11 head lights.
Listed below are links to the Headlight you will need for you GMC Acadia. They are listed in the order of brightest to standard. I have tried all of these. The brighter one are definitely better but I have found that they seem to burn out faster then the standard one.

When I removed the old headlight bulb the bulb broke off and fell inside the headlight, I tried for an hour to get the new headlight bulb back in and my hand is so big I could not get the new bulb to turn in place. I guess I will have to take it to my mechanic to have him put the new bulb back in.
Better to remove all of the Fender out , but you may need to use a Jack stand .

Broke the stupid clip holding the bulb, now I have exposed wires instead of a plug to plug the new bulb in. WTF was GMC thinking to make it damn near impossible to replace a headbulb. Thanks for the video though.

It is a lot easier jacking up the vehicle to do this .It gives more room to put your arm in .
I was able to change it from top without going through your step. Of course you need smaller hands to do it

Thanks for the helpful video. The only issue I ran into was breaking the little clip that held the old bulb to the cable. It may have been brittle, or maybe I forced it a little hard. I tried putting it back in this way – hopefully it doesn't wiggle loose, otherwise I may need to replace the cable (or more likely have a professional replace the cable!).

Turn the wheel the other way and you actually have more space to work.
I change ny light bulbs out on both sides now i have de crease visibility the lights are pointing out and down any idea on what i did wrong

Thank you, that worked. Took a little effort to get the bulb turned to be removed, and then put in the same way. But it saved so many steps that were described in other videos. Excellent!
