Another little ‘how to’ video today as I replace the original gear lever gaiter with a fresh leather item from Steve Lewis SAAB.
The gear lever assembly is disassembled to then clean up inside and out before re-greasing.
I’d allow approx 40 mins start to finish if you’ve not previously swapped one.

Now you need to get the cassette holder that goes in that bay just underneath the EQ. 😀

I am pretty sure that after reinstalling your shifter the first time, you had problems to find the 5th gear and you didn’t need to pull up the button to get the reverse gear engaged.
You screwed the lower pin far too much into the shifter tube. This pin has to stand out of the tube for exactly 21 mm, +/- 0.5 mm, right?
You may have done it, but not filmed, but the white nylon ball should be greased with some white lithium grease after having been cleaned.
