If you have a 2002-2005 Saab 9-5 you should check your blinker/turn signal fasteners. Saab Service Campaign no. 157 12, bulletin 351-2378 deals with the issue of the plastic clips not being strong enough, possible causing the blinker light to fall from the car and cause major paintwork damage.
The fix is simple, buy Saab part no. 5337167 (two per car) and reinforce the blinker clip. This video shows the neccessary steps.
You don’t ned any tools for this job, just the spare part. Time required is 5-10 minutes.
Swedish: Denna film visar hur man förstärker infästningen för blinkers på Saab 9-5 årsmodell 2002 till 2005.

How does it end up getting scratched on the inside. My best friends 97 900 has the same issue
You have forgotten to fill up the blinker fluid!
i found a disconnected cable on my saab 9'5 2006 on the right side . it looks like its from the a/c compressor . and i dont get cold air so i think thats why but i dont know where to connect that cable . where do i connect the a/c compressor cable
is this a problem pre 2002 saabs? or was it a new design
This happened to me when I was doing 80mph, the whole area around the headlight and back was dented and scratched pretty badly 🙁
coupel of years ago i went home and the blinker light fell off whiled doing like 110 kmh. and it relly badly scrached upp my car
As far as I can tell, this fix is only needed for 2002 and 2003 model year cars up to VIN 330002223
manual said it should be screwed but it was clipped.. spend 20 minutes searching for that screw … jesus… you saved me .. i spent hour changing the bulb…
My 2003 Saab 9-5 Vector 2.3t has the same issue with your blinkers. They look scratched, but they are actually cracked. My indicators/blinkers where screwed in place, not clipped in place.
Great video as always!
