Yeah, the sump or oil pan in the states and Canada is bonded by adhesive, I
don’t think it’s very hard technically but remove such and adhesive and
then reapplying it could be hard physically, not so much mentally. I have
had this done on a VW, and would assume it’s the very same concept on the
Saabs.
I purchased a 2007 and I want to drop the oil sump. to check for sludge and
clean it out. Any idea how difficult that is to do?
I use an adjustable wrench instead of the 24mm socket and it works pretty
good. Every toolbox has got one that opens up for 24mm.
Long video to drain a sump
Good job jesse
Hi. How’d you get the car up? Regular ramps didn’t work on 08 I was
changing oil on. Nice video
Mine was 13k little more mileage than that, and it is really a blast. Make
sure you get the Aero with the sentronic gear box. those are my words of
advice. Saabs a re unique from where I am from– not the most common ride
around most people buy audii’s or BMW’s, but one thing is obvious when you
step foot inside a Saab, it’s not either of those; it’s itself.
Yeah it’s got a power tilting moon roof. It’s 86k, and back to the moon
roof– it big and very showy, but i think my VW has a better built
moon-roof, and this Saab’s is kind clunky somewhat loud in comparison. So I
would suggest the Passat if it’s the moon roof that you really care about.
This car too me has nothing to do with that though. This car is for speed
and luxury.
Great vedio! Saab actually recommends Mobile 1 0W-40 or Castrol Edge 0W-30
for best performance. And it would be better to get an OEM flter kit next
time that comes with an O-ring as well as a washer seal.
