Swedish junkyards have plenty of good parts but their too stupid,
or whatever, to send them outside their country. EU, EFTA. DHL,
UPS, FedEx, ever heard from my swedish fellows? ..!

NG900 wiring is different from NG 9-3, they made many fixes
on the 1998-2003 models. Seems yours suffers from a faulty
headligh relay or -switch or indicator switch.

Mike says:

Zero interest in these GM "saabs". My preference is classic 80s models and earlier..

John Wigley says:

I am impressed by your very easy access to scrapyards. Many years ago it was like that in the UK – you could just walk in, remove the part(s) that you need and take them to the man in the shed with a very large Alsatian, pay, and drive away. Nowadays, it is much like any other store – there is little or no public access for health and safety reasons. I envy you that freedom!

Bröderna Flodin says:

Its possible to buy the ribben cable for the Sid display instead of replacing the whole unit

E.J. S. says:

Lol, I just can't resist…….First you Saab, and then you cry. On another note, this might be a car that, according to a co-worker many years back, is "Good enough to fix up & sell, but not good enough to fix up & keep." I've never owned one, but I've worked on plenty of them. And, people make fun of Jaguar reliability………..

Chris Ali says:

That moment when you find a scrap car better than the one you're trying to fix. Always good to get a win and yeah I miss old school scrap yards.

P Street Garage says:

Nice job. Love walking through salvage yards. Gotta have that Ikea bag lol

John Moruzzi says:

I’d get the nice black interior from the scrap 900….

John Moruzzi says:

I love the way they stand the old cars on a pair of steel rims…. what a cool clever idea !

Mark Miller says:

Glad to see you got your wintertime beater going again! Thanks for the video!

Gray Fool says:

You can't beat a good scrapyard search. That used to be a great weekend activity when I first started to drive. I always had old cars that would need something fixed just about every week. The prices you were charged seem very Good too. Nice one.

Parrot Raiser says:

Sounds like a short-circuit in the old box. It night be worth taking a look at the wiring to see if there is any obvious evidence of a power short. If you have a schematic, that could suggest where to look.

Alexandre Couture says:

This board might be fixable, by re-doing the trace with a wire but then, the cause of the issue might be internal to this board, or external. Rotten wires somewhere in the car might have caused a short circuit. Also, confirm that the fuses are the correct amp rating.

Björn Nilsson says:

var är den skroten någonstanns

Rick N says:

Good job. Keep the Cherry Bomb alive!

Martin Clapton says:

Sad to see so many Saab 900/ 93’s in the junkyard, especially in its native Sweden . One of the problems with this model was the bulkhead , partly due to the steering rack mounted directly onto it, causing hairline fractures , especially in the convertible models . This is not a cheap job to do although the Saab strengthening plates were made to correct it, some people may have frowned on such a job compared to there potential value , hence the cars get moved on. Engines are generally very strong for high miles and very tuneable with various turbo packages available. Glad you fixed yours Adam , keep her going.

Donnys weekend vanlife travels uk says:

A great cheep fix I miss going to the breakers yard was always a exciting trip when growing up but here in uk health and safety and insurance has killed it off all the best Adam donny

mike dx says:

Where there’s Lucas, there is both smoke and fire!

Stranger Danger says:
