Wanna buy my Saab 9-3 2004 arc from Sweden?

@alexc.7449 says:

That's so cool

@SnJMAX says:

You don't need a bungee cord to accomplish that if you look closely where the spring connects on the backside there's two holes the springing occupies one already take the spring off relocated to the lower hole reattach spring on lowest tension possible adjust as needed

@Ethankeenan02 says:

My convertible has struts so might be able to get stronger struts to open it

@cosmosk8s says:

Gonna try this on my saab 93 convertible

@slappinturbos1472 says:

Like this idea an wanna do this! Keep up the videos

@moby752211 says:

I gonna make it much easier for you guys-turn over the spring on the right,job done

@dannydarko371 says:

Cool little hack, lubricating the hinges helps and tying a knot in the bungee increases the tension by incremental amount to get the tension spot on

@tonyshaw8915 says:

i am surprised you don't have a convertible

@DaXVideoShock says:

Does this work on a 1999 9-5 Aero Sedan?

@Maximise5 says:

Would it work on a 93 convertible. It has gas struts.

@RafaTomczuk says:

yeah i did trunk open mod way before u 😉 how i did it and how it works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87B0fzzZdkk

@czaki249 says:

I did the same, but I am from Poland and I spent only 1$:) Still working.

@Mangotrond says:

Good tip
I've tried doing this with just adjusting the springs, but the trunk lid accellerates so much at the end that I fear for my rear window.
This was much better. Just need to adjust it so the bungee cord doesnt hit the springs and make sounds

@ekan900 says:

Can you do it on a 9-5?

@macmerges5642 says:

I did it, Menards had bungee cords for $1.75!

@jixdahac says:

My saab 9-3 convertible is leaking a lot of water.. through the roof and near the speakers in the back

@pjackson65 says:

Nice hack 🙂

@thingserik7269 says:

Target distilled water

@doublet5996 says:

Do you think this will help stop the spring from squeaking? I have that issue and wonder if messing with it will help.
