Not one panel on my Porsche 718 Cayman S was salvageable so i have had to strip the full car back and rebuild it from the start. Only problem is Porsche allow you to buy the body panels yet they wont tell you how they fit them in their bodyshop. So it looks as if i will have to figure this one out myself.

Was surprised how cheap the parts are. Nice.

But filling the cooling System was still wrong. You have to remove the engine cover. There will be the expansion tank you have to remove the cap from. The cooling system of this porsche is every complicatet because the intercooler is the highest point in the system. To get it completly vacuumed you have to pull a clip up straigt which opens the return on the expansion tank. I'm sure there is still to much air in the System.

Some good progress made on the car, looks amazing. Seeing different colour panels made me think. Golf harlepuin look for it. One of a kind porsche then.

Stefan Asmussen says:

Look, I like that you are tackling a car that most people would have written off, because it seems the car is still structurally sound. But why in the hell aren't you stripping the car interior completely before going ham on panels with a grinder? And welding panels with all those spatters will eff up the carpets.

Pedjo Gt says:

Sikaflex is to go…i think Porsche use high pressure same thing…i hope you prepped roof also with sika cleaner and bond

Luke Frampton says:

Alot of exposed metal id seal the inside of the panels with wax oil once fitted

Phenomenal work!

Justas L says:

Get full sound deadening for the roof instead of one sheet. It will improve 10 times from the factory standard
