This video shows you how to replace the camshaft timing chain guide rail in a 2002 Boxster S 986 M96 engine. We did it with the engine in the car! That’s right, no engine removal required. Should also be very similar for Cayman and 911 models!

Just was watching and with the cams out instead of trying to put the tensioner assembly in from the front side, I noticed that inserting them from the backside would be easier…of course if the cams on in the block that is not an option…just an observation. Great share! Thanks!!
