Those are called “studs” and there are a few different ways/tools to remove
them (as long as there’s not too much corrosion in the threads…)
very nice contribution, thanks alot! 🙂
Yes, both balance shafts need to be set at a specific location for TDC. I
show the marks in the video, and you can also find diagrams online.
Ummm, audio? Oh there it is!
thank you for this video
Hi, Is my water pump u/s?? I have been resto a 944 turbo s for past year-I
am all done but on its first run had some water issue?? – seems its not
circulating..as after a run of 5 miles then water in the header tank rises
from “min” all the way to the neck on the expansion tank.I changed both
thermoststs- (no change) also flushed rad (all clean and clear) and did a
test on the head gasket by pressurising the water system- I am 90% sure
thats ok- there is not oil in water as I dumped it out twice
great video. Does the lower balance shaft need to be set to tdc or its
position be recorded? thanks
Cant you just put the car in gear and hold the brakes down while undoing
the pulley?
Hi Van, First of all thank you for taking the time to make this clips! They
are really helpful, I have already disassembled my water pump following
your tutorial. At the end of this clip you show those male-male screws, is
it possible to replace them? Mine are very rusty to the point of being
difficult to understand if they are removable or not. On PET I was not able
to find this part… Thank you very much for you help.
Hey Van Hurry up and post the re assembly … I gotta put my car back
together 🙂 Awesome video Thanks Best regards Ed
thanks mate. I love the way you bring these technical problems down to
plain old logic which is I guess the great facination between man and
machine. Keep posting. Just wish you lived next door.
