Porsche 911 Fuel Line Replacement DIY How To

PSA: CHECK YOUR FUEL LINES SO YOUR CAR DOESNT TURN INTO A FIREBALL!

In this episode, I’ll walk you through the fuel line replacement procedure in my 1977 Porsche 911S. My lines were showing signs of deterioration and cracks and high pressure leaks on a hot engine could be a bad time.

Join me as I stumble along rebuilding the drivetrain of my 77 Porsche 911S. To be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve never owned an aircooled car before this one, there’s a huge learning curve, and I’ve been avoiding this since I bought the car years ago. I can’t afford to pay 911 prices on things, so I’ll be doing as much of the work myself as possible.

Al Kidd says:

I just did my rear lines because of cracks but the tunnel lines seem perfectly fine. Were yours cracked?

Oscar Marcenaro says:

So glad this build is BACK! Awesome job dude! Cant wait to to hear that first start!!!! 😉

Justin says:

I see why you procrastinated on doing it. I think I'll stick to working on old sleds.

BC Li says:

Nice – very nice. For the fuel lines, you can use a self-made tool to thread the lines, but no matter how you cut it, it's hard. I put my motor/trans back in late last year, and despite all, it still leaks oil (but a lot less than before). Can't wait to hear how your's sounds – I put ITBs, fuel injection and electronic ignition into my midyear, but still tuning it – does sound good. Looking forward to seeing and hearing your success!

Garage Chronicles says:

Looks good, sir. I think I'll do mine when I take the motor out next year.
