I don’t sorry…

What lever? And I tested the pump, working great!

Walter Wu says:

Thanks, your guidance on this is very helpful. I hope your restoration is
going well, or even finished?

Brian Greul says:

No problem…. you pull on the lever if I remember right. If that fails you
may use a test light to verify the circuit is working. 944’s are notorious
for electrical gremlins. The windshield washer fluid pump may have failed
you as well. This is a high pressure pump so be sure to get the right pump.

Walter Wu says:

For my July 4th weekend, I decided to proceed with the wiper fluid tank
replacement. It was quite easy, especially if you take the time to remove
some additional parts not mentioned in the video. For my 944 turbo, that
included, the wheel itself, the wheel well liner, the brake air conduit
that sits just below the tank. If you remove these additional parts, you
will not have to force any parts to squeeze in or out. Everything will
slide with relative ease.

Walter Wu says:

Did you look into whether this can be replaced from the top, rather than
the bottom? I’m an inexperienced DIY’er, and if there’s any chance to do it
from the top, I’m wouldn’t mind, even if it took longer.

mrcorndog1234 says:

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but how do you activate your
windshield washers? I have a 944 and can not find a switch for them….

Brian Greul says:

You would have to take apart the headlight mechanism which would take
longer. 🙂 The bottom is the easiest way to get it out.

Hi Brian, thanks for making the video it is very useful, I have a Carrera
996 and have to replace the windshield washer fluid tank, so I wonder if
you have also experience on this model and can share some advice. Thanks

Anarchy says:

This video helped me a lot. My tank was cracked, so I had to replace it. I
bought a used one off ebay and checked to make sure it was good before
putting it in, and it was. But once it was in, it started leaking as well.
I must have cracked it while installing, which annoys the hell out of me
since it definitely wasn’t easy to take out. So now it looks like I’ll have
to do it again.
