Great demo – thanks!
Really, really clear video. Thanks so much. this is a job I plan to do and
your video has given me heaps of confidence to tackle it
Great video, thank you for posting. Helped me to prepare mentally so I
could do the job in one evening after dinner and drive to work the next
morning. How long before you check and adjust bearing play with these new
units? Couple of thousand km’s to let them settle I guess? (I don’t race it
I just drive it fast on the freeway on a daily basis). Keep on posting your
video’s I find them very useful and entertaining.
Even two and a half year after you posted it I am happy with it. How did
you noticed the bearings were bad, or was it time based maintenance? Thanks
from The Netherlands. Wim de Kunder
Is going to be the same for the rear?
Thank You ! You are personally responsible for my gain in confidence , I am
now going to attempt this along with other major service. With your help ,

968.. i’ll see in 2 day’s when i am gonna swap the wheelbaring hub.. thanx
for this tough 😉
Great job on this video series. very helpful.
really helpful. Thank you!
hey vsvenson – you seemed to do the bearing pretty tight? I thought you are
supposed to be able to move the washer when the bearing is correctly
adjusted?
thank you very much. Now I can replace the bearings on my 968.
superb!
You’re awesome man

Very well done
Hey Van — Is this method of tightening the bearing retaining nut specific
to track service or is it also applicable to a street car? I am having a
hard time with the “move the thrust washer with a screwdriver” spec, your
method is more straightforward.
