After discovering a coolant leak from the Porsche Boxster 986 project water pump, I refurbished most engine parts by replacing as many gaskets and fluids as possible. I managed to replace the water pump and thermostat, flush the coolant, and fill it back up. I also replaced the belt and the spark plugs. However, I failed to complete the spark tube replacement.

I think that what gives these "expensive" to service cars a bad reputation is the fact that owners will buy aftermarket ,poorly made parts to save money, this comes back to bite them later, or rather the driver that buys the car later, I think people should be happy to save the cost of a main line dealer repair and buy the very best parts when fitting/repairing at home, but there are so many cheap options around now that people are seduced into saving more money. Buying the correct tooling is a very good investment when repairing at home. Good to see your super ramp being put to good use! Stay safe! Chris B.
