Almost $1000 for a cheap air filter and 14″ of metal piping?? No thanks. Just because you own a porsche doesn’t mean you have to over pay! $50 K&N filter and a few parts from your local hardware store can make you a custom true cold air intake for almost any car. DIY is no problem for this mod.

Just a heads-up, the M96 engines aren't worth modifying. None of them respond to mods well.
I've researched them pretty extensively and even own a 3.6L 996.2 911. I would love to get more power out of it. Other than a proper rebuild with an increase in displacement since the clynder walls have to be replaced anyway, you're just wasting time and lots of money. I wish this wasnt the case, but it's reality.
Some have actually lost power with aftermarket upgrsdes.
