1A Auto Parts says:

On most vehicles the blower motor is typically under the dash on the
passenger side. Another location may be in the engine compartment on the
firewall or near the firewall. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

The videos title says Pontiac… is the Transfer Sports in the same place?

ZombieApocalyps says:

The heat or ac is not working, what should i check first?

1A Auto Parts says:

If the blower motor is not working at all then it could be the fan, switch,
or resistor going to the motor. Your best bet would be to test the
electrical connection going to the motor and see if you are getting any
power to the motor.

I need help my chevy venture 01 A/C blow hot air how do u chack if u need
to add freon

denisekindacrafty says:

I am having problems with my 2002 chevy venture. The A/C does not blow cold
air and the cooling fans are not working. I wanted to ask if this procedure
is a cure.

frank0067 says:

ok ty i have schematic of the wiring diagram for my A.C system but i cant
find the word switch.. is there another term used?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the fuses to see if one of them is burn’t out, which
may be causing the issue.

1A Auto Parts says:

The wiring schematic would be under heating control panel section.

@ncrdisabled Here’s a video that will show you how to tackle the resistor.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to see if there’s power to the switch. If there is, the switch
may be bad.

thx once again

1A Auto Parts says:

@nyman188891 most vehicles only have one,and the majority of the time they
are located on the passenger side of the vehicle,or in the engine
compartment.

Kurt Butler says:

I just bought a 1998 Chevy Venture last week, and these videos have come
definitely been useful. Thanks!

ncrdisabled Submarine vet says:

I have a 2005 venture and it has 1 blower but it does not have bolts it has
3 Phillips screws and does not have the hose coming out of it the plug is
in the side . I thing my fan is bad it works intermittent has voltage to
fan except on low speed no voltage so I think I have 2 problems . Have you
ever seen a 2005 venture fan and resistor location?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the radiator fluid level when the truck is cool. If
it’s up to level, you could try to flush out the heater core on a warm day
with a hose to see if it’s plugged up at all.

Chris Strickland says:

I did and that was all it was. I love your videos. Even if i had to replace
the motor i could have done it on my own. Im no mechanic dont know much
about cars. But i didnt realize how simple it would be to change that out.
Im glad i didnt have to, but i appreciate you suggesting that.

Marvin Macabasco says:

I have 2002 Montana and residence of Alberta. My problem here is, heater is
not working regularly. There are days I could feel the heater is working
and there are days I could feel it just plain blower working only. What do
you think possible issue to fix my vehicle?

1A Auto Parts says:

@TombstoneInc There could be a loose wire on it. You may want to check the
connection to make sure that it’s tight.

Chris Strickland says:

@1aauto AC worked great but all the sudden quit blowing. Could hear the
compressor click when i turned switch knew it wasnt the whole ac. Well i
was hot one day got mad and i hit the dashboard and it came on, then i
learned where the blower was, and my brother just hit it with a wrench and
its been working ever since, i do notice the air lowers at times, but hit
it again and its back blowing great. What id like to know is this bad?
Could it cause fire? And why would hitting make it work again?

wilfido cifuentes says:

Question: Why i have very low air when a turn on the blower motor? If i put
in speed 1 or 5 does not feel to much air, Sounds like the air were block
for something, because a hear the incresae of the blower motor speed, but
only the noise of the blower, no much comes out from the vents, I change
the air filters from glove compartment and nothing, I heard al speed works,
but no air, Any idea? I have a 2002 chevy venture, Thanks.

frank0067 says:

Just came from the garage with my 98 Chevy venture to find out why the AC
doesn’t work.. he checked it out and filled the system with gas… then
told me the fuses are ok and gas is to pressure,, so its an electrical
issue. Now im gonna see if i can do my own electrical trouble shooting
myself… I notice the switch light for AC doesn’t go on when ya press it,
so i can start there i guess; can you tell me what also i should check for
please THANK YOU !

1A Auto Parts says:

You could have a leak test done on it to see if there are any leaks in the
system first.

bran1006 says:

excellent vidoes tks for sharing

geotroid says:

Thanks for posting this! I need to replace the actuator temperature door
motor for the front blower on my 1998 Olds Silhouette. Is it located under
the dash? Also, do you have any videos for the rear blower replacement?

nyman188891 says:

@1aauto thanks so much. Great video!

1A Auto Parts says:

The actuator is located under the dash on the passenger side. At this time,
we do not have a video on how to replace it.

Tom A says:

You Guys are awesome saved me so much time working on my Van , I really
really appreciate it !

nyman188891 says:

does every car have 2 fan/blowers? one on passengers side, one on drivers
side?

1A Auto Parts says:

Usually when the blower motor resistor starts to fail you will start to
loose the speed settings. You could also remove the blower motor to see if
there’s anything caught inside of the cage. We carry new blower motors and
resistors with free shipping on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
