You should show the removal and reinstallation of the piece that the lock
rod connects to. It seems to be the most difficult part as it is such a
small piece and hard to put back on.

1A Auto Parts says:

Yes, if you don’t have power windows you would need to remove the manual
window crank first. We do have a video on our channel that will show you a
few different ways on how to do this. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 FREE SHIPPING

You should add that the manual crank windows need a special spring removal
tool to remove them. Was going to do mine today, got all ready, and had to
stop at the first step. Going to pick up this special tool tomorrow, and
try again. Next steering column repair and ignition cylinder replacement.

tmaxxridespinners says:

can i change my 87 chevy caprice they same way?

1A Auto Parts says:

The concept is going to be the same but the bolt sizes as well as how to
remove the door panel might be slightly different.

1A Auto Parts says:

Unfortunately we do not have a video currently but we will keep this in
mind for one later on down the line.

1A Auto Parts says:

The cover of the fuse box should be labeled to tell you what each fuse goes
to. You may have a loose or frayed wire somewhere that’s causing the dash
lights to turn off on you.

1A Auto Parts says:

On a car that old, you should be able to get a metal coat hanger,
straighten it our, then add a small loop on the end big enough to hook the
door lock stick inside on the top of the door panel. You should be able to
worm the coat hanger inside the top of the window, catch that button then
pop the lock,

the release button is not working how do i get my trunk open

duke3oh8 says:

Is this process pretty much the same for the 98-02 F bodies?

mike winchester says:

would be great if you can do ignition cylinder thanks

nw8000 says:

Hi there, Did you do a VT for this on the Mustang? Cheers

44444jarhead says:

thanks for reply but looks like im ganna have to do some exploring cause to
the right of the fuse box there is an aftermarket toggle switch which i
cannot tell what it does

1A Auto Parts says:

it is similar but the body styles are different as well as the door panels
will require some different tools to remove them from the door frame.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the fuse to see if it’s blown. If there’s no lock in
the truck, you would need to get the hatch release working to pop the
hatch. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

the door.
