There may be some screws holding it in place.1aauto.com 888-844-3393

I have a two-door Cavalier and want to peel back the interior paneling
behind the passenger’s side door (below the backseat window.) Is this just
a brute-force job, or is there a more methodical way of doing it?

1A Auto Parts says:

If you take the other door panel off, you should be able to see how
everything connects together. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

I need to know how to connect the door handle to the rods. I broke the lock
part on the handle.

Thanks so much. This video was a great step by step instructional video. I
just wish you had a video on how to replace the power window motor! I guess
I’ll have to just figure it out on my own! 🙂

Jason McAllister says:

I’ve got a dead drivers side speaker that I’ll be replacing thanks to your
video. It’s been replaced once before by audio pro.

@OntarioMan69 It should be available at most parts stores. They run less
than $10 as of writing this.

i have a 99 sunfire se that was purchased for 350 bucks and have since lost
the only key … it has been stripped to bare bones exposing all the wires
previously hidden by the 150lb dashboard now i am attempting to put in a
killswitch and starter button which i can probably do on my own with a
little research but the only problem i am having is the yellow, black, and
white wires to the ignition cylinder.. probably to some theft protection
that is preventing me from starting it… help me

Thanks for the great information. I needed to push out a minor dent on my
mother-in-law’s 95 Cavalier. Warning: the clip will fly quite a bit when it
comes out. It took me a few minutes to find the thing.

Great video! Can do actual door lock be replaced once you get into the door
panel? I need to change doors on my sunfire while keeping the same key.
I’ve found a replacement door which uses a different key. Thanks!

Andrew Mikuluk says:

Your a savior ! It was a little different on my 95 cavalier tho . But
thanks .

@SMOG1289 I do not have a car with power windows to check but I imagine
they are either bolted or riveted on. If the regulator is riveted you will
need to drill the rivets out with a 3/8 drill and drill. Then you need to
get small bolts and lock nuts to reattach the regulator.

Asad hussain says:

this guy is a life saver thanks alot 🙂

SMOG1289 says:

hi, i was wondering if there is a special tool used to take of the power
window regulator? or how to uninstall and istall it?

OntarioMan69 says:

hey question, where can you find that crank tool? i’ve looked all over for
it at partsouce and canadian tire? how much would it be also. Thanks

1A Auto Parts says:

You could probably put a new ignition in it, or possibly have a locksmith
make a key for the old one.

1A Auto Parts says:

You should be able to remove it from inside of the door so that you can
swap them around.

@skater4vie We currently do no have an auto repair video that shows this
particular repair. However removing the door panel shouldn’t be to
involved. You would need to remove and screws that hold the door panel to
the door and also any trim pieces that are held in with screws that fasten
to the door frame. Then you can remove the door panel with a putty knife or
a door panel removal tool. Hope this helps you out.
