In this video I am going to show you how to properly install a double din radio in a WS6 Trans Am Firebird. This process is similar in a 98-02 Camaro as well but requires a different trim panel. It is a pretty easy install with the right parts. I am picky about installation of radios. I solder all the connections and tape up nicely. Another thing I want to make sure of is that we don’t lose any features. I wanted to keep the factory steering wheel controls the firebird has. In order to keep the steering wheel controls it does require an extra harness which I show you how to hook up. Keeping the steering wheel controls are a must when I install a radio. I will say that the double din radio fits nice in the factory din and a half location. If you have a firebrid, trans am or camaro this is a must watch how to on installing a double din radio. I tried to show all the things needed to make the installation easy. Of course this adds the ability to have bluetooth in an older car. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think…….

I have the KEE Audio Level 4 setup. Speakers are amazing but the ones in the sail panel vibrate real bad when you try and get some bass to them. Also remember they are DVC, even from the factory, so make the connections accordingly!!!
That is awesome you both can work on one of these cars together. Extremely clean install!
It’s a really nice car it’s a gem have you considered doing a giveaway on one or on it you do really clean builds
“I’m not going to do it, my son is”. Proceeds to do it. Lol
I like to use tesa tape on the radio wires after i heat shrink all the solder joints
I had a spare metra plug from a different kit and popped the pin added it to the harness when I did the steering controls. Kinda goofy but definitely cleaner than chopping or splicing factory harness.
I always wanted One of these Trans Am WS6
Is there a reason why you go Pioneer over the Sony double dins? I feel like Sonys look real good
KEE AUDIO for the WIN! IAN IS THE MAN!!! im rockin his lvl 5 cdt set up with 11 speakers, counting a custom 10" stealth sub set up he built me… no offense, but i am just not a truck guy, in fact the only thing i hate worse than trucks are suvs, & the only thing i hate more than suvs are electric suvs! im a "car guy" …trucks are for home-depot-runs & to bring home "car" parts (but to each to their own as they say haha) so its great to actually see another f-body gettin some love! thanx man
What a great Father you are to your Son.. time is the most important thing to spend.
Great video
nice job on the radio install !! just did the DMH W4660 nex a few months ago, and was amazed at the fitment and thanks for some TA time
Since you have had 7,000 of these just in the last year… Do you know which years had the traction control button as an option ?
I loveeeeeeeeee the car man!!!!! Im glad its low miles!! Mines low miles too, however im afraid to do a lot to it. Its got Hooker True dual exhuast, Koni shocks, 1.2" lowering springs all around, SLP lid andddddddddddddd thats it lol. Stock rims, and tires dated from 2006 LOL Eagle F1's similar to what came on it stock LOL. They are hard and its so fun to feel them slide. i want rims but can;t decide on what, and can't figure out what will work with the lowering. A friend of mine who i found out also watches your channel, was talking to me about putting the stock springs back on it because im not going to lie i do not like the ride quality despite having koni yellows that are nearly $1k for front and back. I wish the front wheels were deep dish like the rears i'd have to pick these up from you lol. They don't look bad in my opinion.
Thought the Lambo was sold.. Hmm
That looks factory. Great job!
