Jovany Ayala says:

Does anyone know how to disable the DRL on a 99 chevy malibu ls? Help
please.

Cris Tirado says:

Your Grand Prix looks amazing with those new headlights. I have a 2001
Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharged Special Edition, I’m having problems
with the radiator cap. The car always blow out the radiator cap when the
temperature reach 220. I don’t know what to do.

MaryBeth says:

This is great. Anyone know how to disable the auto-locks on a 1996 Grand
Prix?

SHADEKING2542 says:

Is that fuse box on the 04 grand am too?

Nick Light says:

I pulled the fuse and its making a loud annoying noise under the dash

XC2long4u says:

@AONEMANPRODUCTION I have a 2002 and if I pull the connector on the
heatsink it kills the daytime running lights but not the auto headlights.
If I pull the DRL fuse then the lights shut off but there is a relay that
starts clicking like crazy. The module that the relay is in is just to the
lower right of the DRL heatsink. The auto headlamps bug the crap out of me
because if it’s night out and you park the light’s don’t go out.

Venturi2012 says:

Thanks for the explanation. I decided to go with just disabling the DRL by
pulling the connector on the resistor. It took me about 5 minutes to figure
out and do, but if I had to do it again I could get it done in 30 seconds.
I will probably eventually make a video of my own explaining how to disable
just the DRL, and not the auto lamps too. I know you show where it is, but
not how to do it.

sheenasmith007 says:

ahh the crazy clicking… I have a 2002 GTP, the car went crazy went I
started it after pulling out the fuse and the lights were flickering. I
cannot get the wiring harness out of the heat sink, I know it’s clipped in
on the far side, can’t figure out what to do with the blue latch and I
don’t want to break it, help!

Clark Belyk says:

@GTPRunner no i have kind of givin up on my drl situation

Richard Crocker says:

@03IMPALASS hmmm… look in your owners manual for it and see if they list
it in there, if not then try this…..the heat sink… backinblackgp . com
/DRL_TS_Kill.htm that should do the trick, if not we’ll just have to see
what we can find on your specific model year

Alvinsboys3 says:

@rcrocker02 well if I were you taking the fuse out saves time and why ruin
your car did you fix the dash board

Dimrain13 says:

Perfect fix thanks. I was in the same boat with the hids

blackpblock1 says:

@RCROCKER02, I’ve been researching and can’t find it and know I could do
the fuse but hoping it doesn’t turn in the SES lights. If you could find
the wire location online or already know it would be nice for me so I could
cut it and ground it somewhere else. I’m going to try the fuse first though

Richard Crocker says:

@blackpblock1 each persons car is going to have ONE of the reactions to
pulling the fuse out, either it will be fine like mine.. or … it will
ding…. the same sound as if you leave your keys in or headlights on when
you open the door… or it will get a ticking noise… so far those are the
reactions ive heard of

Richard Crocker says:

@drerocafella08 ummmm probably a way like a fuse or something but when all
else fails just remove the bulbs from the lights themselves

Lautrae Davis says:

na i jus got it im goin to fix it up heavy but for i jus fix the exaust
leak on it but now i have another prob im not gettin full boost wen i
really accel like it stalls….any idea y it does dat

jackjeckel5 says:

@rcrocker02 That’s true. Thank God for the internet. hahaha

DemEazy says:

do you know how to do that to a 2001 oldsmobile intrigue?

Aaron Smith says:

Thanks a million for showing this! By the way, I believe my headlight
switch on my 2002 pontiac grand prix SE is having issues because all at
once, my tail lights went out (break lights still work though), daytime
running lights went out, I get a fast chime when door is open, and dash
lights went out. My question to you is do you think I could change out this
headlight multiswitch through that side panel you popped off to show the
“blue and gray DRL wires,” or is dash removal necessary? Thanks

Troy Kendall says:

Hi again I got a question My fog lights are not working on my 98 gtp i am
wondering if it has anything to do with a unplugged cord on the bottom. I
am uploading a video of it just exuse the song at the beggining! Just
comment of my video if you think you knnow what it is

Michael Schriner says:

wat r the daytime running lights and y wuld u want too disable them >?

Teraforce88 says:

My 2002 Grand Prix SE did the same thing when I tried pulling the DRL
fuse– it made a loud, rapid clicking sound under the left side of the
dashboard, almost like a machine gun, but quieter. The clicking was caused
by the headlights rapidly turning themselves on and off– it was so rapid
that you could only see the effect at night.

MrCaptainTahoe says:

Hmm I pulled the fuse, now it makes this clicking sound and the headlights
flicker. When I turn the lights on its fine. Any ideas why?

BrtshAmerican6 says:

@rcrocker02 yea I just pulled mine today, the only problem I had was
getting it out, haha, cuz for mine its a square inch block under my engine
fuse box. I dont really have a problem, I have an aftermarket chime(which I
need to replace cuz it sounds like crap) because I have a JVC headunit, and
the chime is built into the radio you have(except most aftermarket ones)

ElZekeeee says:

Man i just got my first ride its a 97 grand prix gt. Imma try it

Richard Crocker says:

@Reissumies also if you do want your lights on, then you can still simply
turn them on, i do it quite often. If you forget then its your own fault
for not having your lights on in the first place. some people say “if its
so complicated why get HID’s in the first place?” simple… its MUCH
brighter in any weather conditions so i can see better at night, it looks
good as well. down here at night it can often times be hard to see people
jaywalking as they are dark skinned in dark clothes.

Richard Crocker says:

congrats on the new car man!

Richard Crocker says:

yeah the simple fuse pulling technique doesnt work on every car its just
one of the ways to do it on some of them.. theres other ways though, you
can check into the heat sink method on here for example

jmac1971002 says:

Yes, it is on the passenger door side of the glove compartment, and one of
the fuses had the DRL tag. Thanks.

Alex Porter says:

Could you please point me to the direction as to why my auto lamps refuse
to turn off on my 01 GT I tried unplugging the DRL module didn’t work so I
tried removing the DRL fuse still didn’t work so I reconnected the DRL
module (with fuse still out) all this time the auto lamps were on (could be
the DRL still on it was dark outside) please any advice will be greatly
appreciated
