good video! but I hate my sunfire and going to get rid of it. Do you have
to replace the whole thing? my RPMs are messed up

redgreen66 says:

I’m glad you asked that – I was wondering the same thing myself.

jhdz14789 says:

My gauges lights wont turn on!!! …they turn on but end up turning off -.-
Wat can it be?!?! Fuse maybe??

NDSautomotivePR says:

I love this car. It’s so easy to do stuff. And it looks cool esp the front
headlights

EPICautoSHOP says:

I would love to help, but we are not a parts supplier. Your local junkyard
or local auto parts store can hook you up. If you would like to ship it to
the technician that rebuilds them, we can arrange that. Just email me at
epicautomotive@live.com. Andy Epic Automotive

in an 03 sunfire if you change your instrument cluster with one from a
junkyard do your Km reading stay the same!?

Patrick Orion says:

Thank you, thank you ! My speedometer gauge is going out, yet my other
gauges went out last year. I’d been putting this off, but now since my
speeder’s out, it has to be replaced. Do you guys have a site where I can
order one ?

Jonas Turner says:

Would this work as well for a 1998 Sunfire GT? It seems like the process
would be similar. I have my instrument panel going crazy. All the lights
are flashing and gauges going from 0 to whatever it is I am doing as I
drive. I was going to replace the instrument cluster after I check the
ground cables.

Patrick Orion says:

thats cool, aprreciate the help. btw…would you recomemend a junkyard or
actual supplier ? Suppliers seem to want to add high interest core
charges…which seem a tad irrational.

jhdz14789 says:

my lights on my cluster turn on & off so fuse is ok I’m guessing its the
light switch on steering column? ?

EPICautoSHOP says:

Thanks! I am not aware of an easy way to repair these clusters. Your best
option for repairing it at a reasonable price is finding a good one at a
junkyard. The replacement part you see in the video is from a local
junkyard. We got ours for a lot less than the price of a new part. What did
you have in mind for future videos?

ElBigRican says:

Great video. I have a ’03 Sunfire with the same problem. Only difference is
that the rpm and gas gauge don’t work. Are these clusters fixable? Do you
know of a site I can get a new one for cheap. Also, do you take requests on
videos?

kardetailer95 says:

Bad stepper motors. Mine went bad. A replacement on ebay is like $3 and you
just solder it to the circuit board.

ArexHedlick says:

You can order the step motors online and solder them on. Some sellers even
make kits that include the motors, a soldering iron, a de-soldering pump,
and a set of instructions.

EPICautoSHOP says:

I found a technician in the Peoria, IL area that repairs these clusters for
a reasonable price. He replaces the motors with better quality parts than
the factory used. Hope this info helps you!
