Is the Mall PGM fuse known by a different name? I have found every fuse box
in my 2003 Pontiac and found nothing labeled mall pgm. I have found a fuse
to cut all power to the transmitter but that does not work either. Old
remote unlock button is broken but lock button works. New remote is for the
car id number matches on backs.

Thanks for posting this info. Perhaps it was voodoo, but on my 2003 Grand
Prix I needed to turn the key counterclockwise to “accessory” only, and
then it worked like a charm.

There is a problem with your instructions. With the key in the ignition and
in the ACC position – when you open and close a door the chime you hear is
for the key in the ignition.
