Jacob Grimm says:

I’ve seen some installs of the Nexus 7 where a digital sound processor is
installed, the Nexus is connected to the processor and then the processor I
connected to the amp.

My question, is the sound processor necessary? I’ve seen several people do
an install that way.

jamie earp says:

you should wire front to left and rear to right, as i dont know anyone who
adjusts r/l in a car ;)

Jezez says:

I am really interested in this, when do you think you will upload part 2?

I am especially interested in the steeringwheel controls, how you install
the usb extension cord female in the glovebox, and the sleep mode to avoid
draining.

Thanks!

Michael Palo says:

Hey, so i noticed that you soldered the speaker wires to your 3.5mm jack.
Did you u just just attach all of the speaker wires to it? I am trying to
install one myself and i bought this rca audio adapter but it doesnt work.
I thought it would be good to do it your way. And when is part 2 gonna be
done?

Patrick Campbell says:

Great videos. I’m currently gathering the parts to put a 2012 N7 in my 2010
MS3. You mentioned you have the preinstalled amp so I’m guessing you have
the Bose system? Did you buy a new harness or pull the one from your car?
Thanks, look forward to the next videos.

Robert Haick says:

Nice video. Where did you get an angled adapter that had a female micro B
port on the other end. I can only find ones with usb A

Aman Lalria says:

I’ve been researching this stuff for the past two weeks, for my own car
install. I wish I had seen this video earlier! Very clear and helpful
advice 10/10 :D

William Harmon says:

How did you secure the Nexus 7 in the double-din kit? Did you use adhesion,
or were you able to just bolt it in, and have enough stability?

Jorge d'Argence says:

I got the same charger, and I thought the A stands for Apple and not
Android, so you want to plug into the NA port if using a Nexus 7

Frank Nativi says:

it would be nice if you put the links for the parts in the description

Chema Espinal says:

i wouldnt leave my nexus in car under any weather conditions.

Outside the Box says:

You are a huge help. I just got my nexus 7. Researching all of this stuff
right now. I’m removing my old car pc from my jeep. Anyway you can provide
links to the cables and stuff that you have there? Thanks very much.

andrew hickman says:

does this legitimately replace a normal radio? like, will i be able to hook
up 2 10’s, 4 speakers, 2 amps, etc, basically a $1000 system? thanks for
the great videos

Outside the Box says:

Are you using stock rom with elemental kernel? I was thinking of using
cyanogenmod with the elemental kernel.

thekidlyric says:

Hey I just downloaded elementalx, but nothing happened .. I need help.

Jaco says:

Thank you so much for making these videos, they’re very helpful! I’m
hoping you can help, I’m installing a 2013 Nexus 7 in a cradle mount on an
older vehicle- long story short I really want a backup camera to help hook
up to trailers. The best thing I can find is “UVC video grabber card”.
The guy that makes them is from Thailand and is really nice/helpful but he
wants $77 for the card. Do you know of any other way to hook up a camera?
Also do you know if the camera will work with the USB splitter? I have a 4
into 1 splitter now… Thank you!
