there is a firewall behind the glove box, there is a plump which u can poke a hole through and your cable will appear behind the windscreen panel cover
There is a lot of places inside the car that you can use for 12V supply for led strips. Dont have to connect it directly to the battery and have that stupid wire out of the door.
Personally I think red looks the best especially at night time because it matches the red on the dials and other details on the cars
