Can I tap the 12 volt current from my cigarette lighter, because I don't want to go close to the fuse box

Thwizzle says:

Nice video but I have a question. There is a 4 digit code to make OEM radio's work. What if you want to replace and aftermarker radio with an OEM, where can you get the code to make it work again?

Ma7hiu5 says:

Anyone have a link to the control box thing… not finding anything while searching for it, looking for it to fit a 2005 xsara picasso, so this exact one might be worth a shot.

GreekGamer4U says:

Could you explain why you did all these things with the fuse?

ENASNI RECORDS says:

I'm going to sound stupid but I've been looking all night and I've finally given up, I have a 2002 beetle I want to install a 7 inch touchscreen but as you know that won't fit is there anything I can do I have looked for an aftermarket dashboard but it seems love for the beetle has died

Cod Zilla says:

Hi, original Clarion cd player not working/doing anything. Radio works fine. Is this common/repairable or shagged?

Cathal MacSiurdain says:

Thanks for this vedeo. Looking down I see you answering lots of questions. Fair play to you mate; extremely kind of you.

Hi can i get away with not adding the switched live to the fusebox ie run it off just the adaptor. I have and the problem im having is that it comes on sometimes and goes off when ot feels like. Its totally mood based. I am wondering if its a faulty adaptor or that i need a switched live, many thanks.

Hi, that was a good instructional video and showed parts that I am interested. it relates to a Pug 206cc. I need to fit a solar battery charger to keep the battery good whilst away for a long period. Can you suggest the best connection point in the interior fuse board to make a direct connection to the battery (not via ignition switch). There is a plug in the center with just large RED and Black cables, would this be a good connection site for both positive and negative using scotchlock connectors?

Martinesse says:

I will just pay someone to do this for me haha

don leggett says:

Ok mate great video , was very helpful on pug 2006 HDI 2006 plate
Question I was going to ask is I’ve fitted. Chinese stereo with Bluetooth satnav etc.
I was wondering by removing pug radio and fitting the new after market one.
Would this interfere with incorrect operation of the small information screen above the radio, centre multimedia information x screen.
Make it easier the one with the clock on lol.
Any information would be brill.
Thanks m8.

Lewis Bittle says:

I wired to a fuse and keep losing the radio memory . Resetting it every time. How do I fix?

Ashley White says:

I have an issue that when the ignition is turned off and the radio turns off, it loses all of the saved settings. I am guessing it's something to do with constant power supply. Any suggestions? It is a Sony stereo

Scott Whitehead says:

Thanks this is super helpful. I bought a like for like replacement for my Pug 206cc radio – so its the Clarion one you were replacing, when I swapped over; all works fine except it beeps an alarm every 30 seconds.. I assume that means I need to enter a code somewhere, but when at and where do I find the said code please?

Daniel Noble says:

Pj there is a extra set of wire connectors in the original wire loom its sectioned into 3 colours blue (which is wired) green and yellow and blank but there is only 2 sets to plug into the adaptor (white and black) i have placed the black and white connectors into the adaptor but the radio is not coming on

GrandBlackCoin says:

My adapter keeps flashing green, does that mean it’s not working?

Benjamin Martinussen says:

patsyc47 says:

In my previous Peugeot Halfords fitted a BT radio (Kenwood) and I lost most of the info that comes up on the screen above the radio. Was this their mistake or is the same likely to happen? I’ve got an identical 206cc 94 as your demo. Thanks.

Anthony Leonard says:

Hi mate, wondering if you could help me, I have a 2003 citroen C5, I've put an ignition Live to the cigarette lighter on a double fuse connector all works as you said but once you turn the car off and leave it for about ten minutes, you lose the time, you don't lose the preset FM channels or where the cd was upto. But it does go on to DAB and you have to press the button to get back to cd or FM. I have tried putting red to yellow and yellow to red and that just immediately loses the time the second you turn the key off. It's on a Pioneer DEH-S720DAB Car Stereo. Any help would be really appreciated. I don't know if I should move the inline fuse to another ignition Live or whether I need to get the iso adapter.
Thanks Anthony.
