Clive St-mart says:

Hi can you put a video up of how to change a spark plug

quaser2000 says:

Great video, it saved me having to look it up in the Haines Manual, thanks
:)

SCOTTCOD4 says:

I can do but it may take me a couple of days to do so as it means stripping
all my plastics off. If you have a centre stand remove the belly panels and
start your engine, aslong as the pump is connected to your battery you
should hear it working (I shall check tomorrow which side is which from the
pump for you)

SCOTTCOD4 says:

eBay mate or try pedparts.co.uk or adrenalinepedstop.co.uk

SCOTTCOD4 says:

Thats just a filter mate, i got one cut the pipe and installed it. What
kind of oil pump do you have? is it the throttle based one or a electronic
oil pump? Mines the Electronic oil pump that pipe goes to about under my
battery and theres a small silver pump, and then theres another pimp coming
off that pump to the carb. The bike then gives more or less oil pending on
how your riding, ie going flat out the pump will supply more oil, taking it
easy and it will limit the oil… Hope this helps m8

BOYDY168 says:

Could you possibly put a video up of how to test the pump and which pipe
goes on which side of it please buddy, that would be great!

ImChaaaz says:

Hey man! There is ” a box” in front of the seat, where can i buy it? cheers

Rob Curtis says:

Thanks for the quick reply, I can do any of this until Saturday when my old
man comes round with the spark plug spanner, but it NEARLY starts from the
kick but it just doesn’t quite kick in

Declan J says:

ive tryed them , all , and they dont have any , ebay doesnt either 🙁

SCOTTCOD4 says:

You could just link it up to your oil bottle and then to your pump i think
its the right side nipple that the oil from the bottle under the seat goes.
Then connect a small bit of hose to the left hand side and see if it comes
out with a little throttle. Just make sure you still have premix in your
tank! (as obv the oil wont be going to the carb its just a quick check to
see if the pump works. if no oil comes out then im guessing it was running
premix for a reason hence pump knackered

SCOTTCOD4 says:

Without charging your battery or getting a new one, you could check your
spark plug, its been a weekend week this week and I found sometimes the
spark plug would get soaked from the spray from the rear wheel, whip the
spark plug out but connect it to the HT lead, rest the edge of your spark
plug on the chassis and try kickstarting, if you see a nice blue spark then
the plugs fine, if not its a plug change and then try again with maybe a
battery charged / new battery

BOYDY168 says:

Would you say it is best to leave it as it is and mix the oil with the
petrol or to connect it back up like I was planning? Cheers mate.

Declan J says:

i got a speedfight 1 , i wanna buy a new bucket seat , i cant find any
online at all , any suggestions ?

BOYDY168 says:

I have a speedfight and the guy who had it before me disconnected the oil
pipe and ran it with the oil mixed into the petrol, and I am now trying to
connect it back up, and I was just wondering what that thing is that is
connected to the pipe what goes onto the oil tank at 2:12 because mine
hasn’t got it Thanks.

BOYDY168 says:

Just realised that if I did leave it, then I would have to carry a jerry
can everywhere incase I ran out so I could mix it wouldn’t I. My pump is
the same as your’s but as it is not connected so I’m not sure if it works,
do you know how I can test it?

BOYDY168 says:

Okay no worries. I’ve had a look and it is connected, It’s just my engine
is fairly loud as the exhaust gasket is knackered, only today ordered a new
one so I’m not able to hear a thing. Is there any other way of checking if
it works? Cheers.

SCOTTCOD4 says:

Sorry mate, i couldnt get my bucket trim over the petrol cap, when i left
it on. But i could get it off if i took the fuel cap off… Maybe yours has
a different kind of cap? or something. But thank you for the input i shall
add it to the discription.

iLeox2 says:

-.- Not the Fuel Cap… only the Oil Cap..

Rob Curtis says:

Hey mate, dont suppose you could help me, my 50cc Speedfight 2 won’t start.
Was working fine the night before and now it wont fire up off the kick or
the electric. And i left the key in it over night by accident so now the
batterys flat. 🙁 help pleasee! haha

SCOTTCOD4 says:

Yer you can take the pump off and just connect it to your battery and you
should hear it ‘working’ .. Na dont carry a jerry can just make sure you
have a couple of bottles of 2T oil under your seat you can get like proper
premix bottles off ebay which are loads smaller and its the right amount
per tank full you just have to remember to keep topping up your premix 2T
oil bottle..

SCOTTCOD4 says:

Its ‘easier’ to have it all connected as it means no pre-mix! BUT the pumps
on speedfights are renound for going wrong! (Mines gone wrong once since
owning it) So i always add a little oil in my petrol anyway. If you dont
mind premixing then i would prob keep it like that but its each to there
own! If my pump goes again im going to run premix only! If theres anything
else you wanna see or howto mate let me know i shall stick a video up!
