Oldsmobile Alero Compilation

Oldsmobile Alero Compilation

Usually runs around a 6.6 0 – 60 time, but in the video it was humid like I’ve never seen around here. Car has about 200 HP, and runs a 14.901 @ 92.90 mph as…

niiiice! I’ve gotta find me a pcm…

mnaylor21 says:

I hope I can get those times. 14.9 on your end is pretty impressive for
only 3 mods. The headers are even better at higher speeds. The power band
shifted from 3000 to 6000

wrestlingandrunning says:

i’ll beleive if i see a video

Josh Doherty says:

Somewhere in the 190 – 200 range, with about 220 – 230 Ft/Lbs Torque. Never
been able to dyno it but I ran a 14.901 @ 92.90 mph at Cecil County Dragway
recently.

bobybob12 says:

ya there only automatic. there still nice cars tho

lurch1489 says:

I was replying to Mast3rChipmunk

Josh Doherty says:

What is ?

Josh Doherty says:

DHP chip is easy to install, you just pull out the old PCM from under the
driver’s side dash, near the pedals. Then you plug the new PCM in and drive
it like you stole it for a week or so, and then the computer will learn to
stiffen up the shifts etc.

Josh Doherty says:

Well, stock or almost stock cars can behave completely differently. For
one, a cars computer sometimes adapts to the way a person drives, in terms
of automatic shifting etc. Heck my car is a factory freak, ran 15.5 out of
the production line, compared to a 15.8 – 16.2 normal. Cars just differ.
Sedans weigh more than coupes, and tires might also make a difference.
There are a lot of factors to consider.

Tim Derr says:

If your still looking, search ebay. I just picked up a spectre colds air
system for $16, was used, but cleaned up well.

Joe Cox says:

the sensor on the side of the tube going from the MAF to the manifold, did
you use the stock one or go get a new one

Josh Doherty says:

Heh hope that works for ya… my trans just got rebuilt.

amerbritcan says:

I have a Question..are all alero’s Automatic? Cuz I can’t find a vid of one
with a manual Tranny, and there’s no way I’d buy a car to mod if it was
only auto.

mnaylor21 says:

I finally installed headers, 62mm RSM TB, DHP PCM, Magnaflow High-Flow Cat,
2.5″ downpipe. It is awesome now. I drove it form TX to NY. My house is at
400 ft elevation, but at sea-level the acceleration got a lot faster. I
need to take her to a strip to get a time slip. Any prjections on what 1/4
mile time Ic oudl get? I think my output is at 220 hp w/ 240 ft/lbs…maybe
more on the torque. But she screams and the RSX Type S is dogmeat now

ryotaryuu says:

Try the ignition control module. it’s under the three coil packs.

Josh Doherty says:

Haha I bought the CAI from DoctorSpeed, way back before I knew you could
get them cheaper on ebay 😛

Mustangmike232 says:

The 2.7L stratus has 200HP stock

ryotaryuu says:

Junk engine junk trany.

Adam Seas says:

How hard is the dhp to install i love the way it makes your transmission
shift, great car!!

KenshinZeroOne says:

Im glad to see someone revive such a nice car, It looks realy good.

Nathan Maynard says:

What Is A 2000 Alero 2.4L Stock HP And Ft/Lbs?

Josh Doherty says:

Hahaha thats almost exactly the mileage that mine had when I bought it.

0to60in16seconds says:

you are a fucking ricer fag

Josh Doherty says:

Not really sure of 1/4 mile times but you should be around 14.7 – 14.5 if i
had to guess. I so want me some headers 😛

USsnipes says:

i have the same car but mine is a dark green and stock. nice vid.

Alonshalev says:

It also has to do with u being less loaded maybe. he has sunroof, leather,
16″ rims and some of them u probably dont have. it can b tires, the amount
of fuel each one of u had when u raced and the way u both take care of the
car. it can b anything.

Nathan Maynard says:

I Cant Wait, My Bro Is Sellin Me A 2000 Alero With 32,548 miles On it!!! Im
Getting It All tricked Out!

CalvinoRampante says:

Somebody who knows where i can find lower suspension kit than original?
//From Sweden!

oldsmobilcherrybomb says:

i got one just like this one worst piece of s hit ever . wrecked it and
smashed a tree in the winter. suks in snow. fast and good lookin thats were
it ends. GM had a good design but the mechanical part wasn’t engineered good

Josh Doherty says:

Pretty sure theyre the same exhaust. Should be interchangeable cuz both
cars are nearly the same thing anyway.

mnaylor21 says:

I meant to say 4000 feet elevation. Oops. 400 would not have made any
difference.
