Oil from a 350 diesel after 1500 miles.
@v8power200 I use the same oil in summer and winter. The most important
thing is to change often with the filter. 15W40 works fine with the engine
heather. Both engines come with block heaters installed at the factory:)
@mrdestoryit I use DynoCat FleetPower XD 15W-40 mineraloil (diesel engine
oil). API CJ-4/CI-4+/CI-4/CH-4/CG-4/CF/SL
The thing about changing oil in a Diesel engine, regardless of who makes
it, is that you could change it, run around the block, and it would be
black already. Its because all of the soot a Diesel makes gets into the oil
right away and turns it black. The oil is actually clean, just doesnt look
it because its a Diesel engine.
@mrdestoryit Hey, Schaeffers Oil, I have not heard about this oil before
here in Norway. Looks like they specialize in oil for all engines
@packardnut Clearly the oil is very fast black even if it where new. I’m
sure the oil change not only because of the engine, but because it
significantly less soot from a cold start. Had a neighbor with a Delta 88,
Diesel, and he had it for 22 years by 500,000 miles. Changed the oil after
1,500 miles and let the engine get hot before he loads it. If the soot is
also when it is to idling
The thing about chaging oil in a Diesel engine, regardless of who makes it,
is that you could change it, run around the block, and it would be black
already. Its because all of the soot a Diesel makes gets into the oil right
away and turns it black. The oil is actually clean, just doesnt look it

@mrdestoryit Not bad! Not bad! I’ll send them an email and ask what they
would recommend for the Oldsmobile Diesel.
bra i diesel.
