The ignition mechanism in “Sally” the 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS stopped working properly. In Part 1, I disassembled the steering column and figured out the culprit. Now we put it back together and get it back in the car. Finally!

This would apply to a bunch of 70s eras GM vehicles including all the A-Bodies, Corvettes, F-Body (Camaro/Firebird), and “Square Body” trucks from the 70s and even into the 80s. GM used the same basic column structure in pretty much every vehicle.
