Saul Dean says:

Did you ever find out what the problem was?

Frank D says:

I was wondering about the salvage yards now. I heard you mention that you source some parts from used parts places. My grandfather had a junk yard in Fairborn growing up from 70-88 that dealt with vehicles mostly from the 50s to the early 70s. I don't really think there are really that many small business places like that around any more. Kil-kare closed their yard. The small yard down the road from there on Hawkins rd has also closed. I think at the beginning of 2000 there may have been a dozen in the area but I think cash for clunkers eliminated most of those lots. Walts, Hilltop on 40, Adkins, Dayton-Xenia auto parts are about the only ones I can think of now. But there was a period when one couldn't find inventory because of elimation and destruction of parts due to clunkonomics. Has that improved or is there still a lack of certain year range inventory?
