Very nice job with this project. I have been following your progress as
I benefit from your experience with my own project. I am currently swapping
in an LS2/4L60e out of an ’06 GTO into my ’87 Monte Carlo SS. I will also
be swapping in a 9″ rear end with disk brakes. I went to the Inline tube
site look for a proportioning valve to work with my set up. Out of
everything they offer, the only item I think will work is item PR-101 for a
Streetrod….5 port brass valve for 4 wheel brakes. Is this what you used?
Thanks

I totally agree and I have subscribed so that I don’t miss a vid either.

Thanks. It took forever with that tiny blaster. It had a lot of
undercoating which didn’t help in the stripping process either.

hutchhiperf says:

Thank you. I’ve been sidelined for a while with financial demands and
personal issues. I should be back at it soon. Thanks again.

I’m going with an Edelbrock Quiet Flow pump (by Essex), and the fuel pickup
from RobbMc Performance Products. I have also heard on the GN boards that
the new tanks don’t come with the proper baffles inside. ???

Chris, Well, since the car isn’t on the road yet, it’s holding up well
under the cover I have on it 🙂 I did call the manufacturer about the use
of a spray paint or epoxy over the Chassis Saver. He said no prob as long
as you got it in the proper time frame after the Chassis Saver went on.
There’s been no lifting or bubbling so far and still looks great. Good luck
with the build.

BTW,…Check out my vid. It’s not your grandpas oldsmobile.

That frame looks Awesome.

hutchhiperf says:

NICE! Drag radials is right! Props for going sideways in something not
powered by a CH*VY engine. That thing looks like a lot of fun!!

Chris Jones says:

Hi there. Just found your frame paint video. I’m about to do the same thing
to my 71 Buick GS and I also bought Chassis Saver and was planning to paint
over it with satin or chassis black. Just curious how your frame is looking
now? Still lookin good? Thanks.

hutchhiperf says:

Thanks. It’s positive comments like this that keep me going. It has been
tough going sometimes, (especially when running across rust you didn’t
expect). I need to get back in there with the vid cam and do some more
filming. Thanks again.

Dude, i love your videos. I watched them all and i love your motive. You
are a huge inspiration to me to get out in my garage and start wrenching on
something. Please keep going with this car. I would love to see it all the
way through. I subscribed to you so i wont miss a video. Plus i might be
getting an 86 442 so you have highlighted some trouble areas i never even
would have guessed about so thanks. Keep up the excellent work!

Nice attention to detail and great project. You mentioned you weren’t sure
what kind of fuel pump to go with….In my opinion, the best way is to use
an in tank pump with a turbo buick tank otherwise you’ll have the annoying
noise. The turbo buick / GN tanks have the correct baffles and you can buy
them new.
