Thanks! This video really helped. Did this take care of the leak on the
sensor to? I know i can change the gasket thanks to your video but I dont
know if i have to do anything to my sensor or if the gasket will take care
of that. When i took my maixma in for an oil change they said the pan and
the sensor was leaking and it would be close to a $500 job.
Thanks, really helped a lot. Did the oil pan gasket on a 94 Toyota Tercel
today – same sort of procedure, but man there was a lot more crap in the
way of those bolts!
hello, my 98 nissan maxima has a leaky oil pan, but i thught mine was the
4th genereation because yours looks like a 5th generation, but either way
is it the same thing changing the gasket, thanks
Great video – thank you (5th gen 😉 I remember years ago we had the same
car and my dad was struggling with this. He changed it 3 times and every
time it leaked. Later i realized he was only using the silicone tube and no
gasket 🙂 He said that’s what the parts guy told him, nissan only uses
silicone gasket from the tube hahaha. Now i know why it didn’t work…. I’m
gonna fuck with him for the rest of his life Bwahahahahaha This vid is
going to my favorites lol
i ask that question because i recently hit something on tha bottom of my
engine oil pan and its leaking more where there is a like a sensor hanging
but dont know if its supposed to be connected to the pan.
what sensor was leaking?

Good info
No need to,but if you have one its better.
Great video!!!!
1. This is 5th generation Maxima (however same instructions apply to 4th)
2. No need for the actual gasket here, Nissan uses RTV silicone.
