Nissan Titan DIY JBA Header and Exhaust System Install – At home

Installed JBA headers, Berk B-pipes, JBA cat-back exhaust system on my 2008 Nissan Titan. My truck started getting some exhaust leaks so I put a new system in over a weekend. It proved to be very challenging but with some decent tools I was able to get it done. This video shows the tools used and what to expect if you tackle this yourself.

xPHATSNAPSx says:

Why would you make this video in the darkness of your closet?

M.B says:

You keep your Titan nice, it’s 2021 now and I have a 2010 Le , bought it new and absolutely love the truck, a real work horse and trouble free for 11 yrs.

Ann Onymous says:

You got part numbers for the whole set up?

Chuck Finly says:

never thought if the magnet trick, thanks!

Rick Krans says:

No-Fish Nick, thank you taking the time to make such a detailed video! I love your eye magnet tip and side commentaries!

I believe your video is one of the few that shows the driver's side of a 4wd model. Appears getting that manifold out is very tough with the transfer case in the way and even the steering linkage. I read one comment on Titan talk that suggested removing the steering linkage (they actually said steering knuckle but I think they meant that link) and all the studs from the head, would allow you to slide out the manifold without messing with the motor mounts and lifting the engine. I know you didn't do it this way, but having spent a significant amount of time in the area, do you think it's a feasible solution? I asked the good folks at Titan talk and they said to just raise the engine a lot and that it's going to be tough. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before tackling this on 2012 4wd QX56. I have to stick with OEM since I'm in California….very envious of your setup, great job.

David Ray says:

Did you have your truck retuned with uprev, along with dynoed?

Tony MTA says:

U still have the truck ? How many miles has ?

Just finished my install of JBAs and Cajun B pipes on my 4WD Armada. Huge pain in the butt!
Thanks for the video….it helped me to expect the worst. My corrosion wasnt as bad, but still had issues

Trace Nagele says:

How much did the entire setup cost

Major Cheese says:

Hey. I have an 07 titan crew cab 4×4. Im thinking about installing long tube headers and a magnaflow cat back exhaust. Any ideas for catylitic converters? Also in this vid, your headers have each have two O2 sensor inputs and then your Cats also have an O2 sensor input leaving you with six O2 sensors. Did you leave any of those input blank?

Rick D says:

How much did this set up cost if you don’t mind me asking?

Allen Jones says:

Awesome magnet tip of the day! Thanks

Mediocre Florida Man says:

So this is that $2000 setup? Including tune.

Dave Stratton says:

Great job!! Im going to replace my manifolds with just some stock ones.
Will i have to loosen the engine bolt also?2005 titan

Constable says:

Gah, my Titan is making the tick of death. Guess this is in my future.

Mike Wiggins says:

Thanks for making such a informative video. I started my exhaust manifold replacement job last night and immediately I noted an issue concerning the manifold heat shields. After watching two YouTube videos on replacing the exhaust manifolds, no one talked about replacing the heat shields that were attached to the OEM manifolds.
The after market exhaust manifolds and headers DO NOT have mounting holes for the heat shields. Did you forgo the engine compartment heat shields?
It looks like I have to get some mounting holes welded on the replacement exhaust manifolds in order to mount the heat shields.

I have an 08 and it makes a little noise when i first start it then in about 5 seconds the noise is gone any ideas? Drivers side somewhere around the header.

Cory Heath says:

Great video man! I'm in the midst of installing the 6400sjt's (same as yours) on my 2011 Pro-4X….not a fun process whatsoever. Right now I'm waiting for work to be over so I can go home and break those manifold bolts loose. Soaked them in PB all day yesterday, then this morning, then will start the engine to heat them back up…and bloody fingers crossed for good news. Just glad the heat shield part is over with. Thanks for providing such a great video. It's helped me out alot.

Kevin Approved says:

How much was the tuneing

Sleepy Do says:

Did you have to loosen both side of engine mounts to remove stock OEM manifold? If so did you use long extension to loosen the engine mounts?

obet man says:

Nick we’re can i buy that ultra sonic resonator to lower the sound. Thanks

Diego Rabarozzi says:

Thanks you so much for taking the time to make the video !

Ludwig says:

Thanks for taking the time to show us your weekend project. Very helpful and now have a better idea of what to expect. If you were to do this agai, are there any tips you would give?

Lesley Johnson says:

About to take this plunge myself on my ‘08. It’s been long overdue & I’ve heard nightmarish stories from others, but I’m about to dive head first. I’ve researched every curve of this & this video has been the most helpful, by far. Thanks.
