OEM Air Filter (2013-2018): https://bit.ly/35HTnug
Hey, FastFix!
We appreciate you using one of Microgard's filters in your instructional video!
We represent O’Reilly as their filter manufacturer for their Microgard cabin air filter products. We take pride in the products and services we bring to them. We appreciate your feedback on their product, and we would like to point out a few things about the video:
The filter shown in your video from Microgard is their particulate filter, not their HEPA filter. Microgard’s HEPA filters are packaged in a green box with “HEPA” marked on the front of the packaging. Additionally, the material of the HEPA filters features a gray and white side and 5 layers of filtration.
The OEM filter you replaced isn't a carbon-infused filter. Rather, the gray appearance in the old filter is due to the accumulation of dust and other particles that have been filtered out before it enters the cabin.
Our cabin filters have been tested in an independent testing facility following ISO's cabin filter standards to ensure that you get quality filtration with our products.
Our filters are manufactured in ISO-certified cabin filter facilities for quality assurance.
The Microgard filter you had in the video is a USA-made filter. We take pride in the fact that all of our HEPA cabin air filters as well as 90% of our particulate and carbon filters are made in the USA.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Ohhh merr gawd… Microguard isn't that high-quality of a part? You. Don't. Say.
Oh my God! This is a lot of work for a simple cabin filter change! I give 0 to Nissan.
It ended up pushing deeper in and now I can't get it at all.
Years later. Found this video helpful. Thank you.
Is a fu… pain change it
I would personally like to give the "engineer" @ Nissan who thought this was a convenient place to put this filter a giant middle finger!
Got a premium, tight fitting filter for mine. Could not get it started, used a little Dry lube (not graphite) on the leading edge and instantly popped in. Hope this helps somebody.

I just bought an 09 Murano S. Do you have a video of the left CV axle replacement or do you have plans on doing one? Thank you from a new subscriber.
Just did this thanks! Couldn’t get it in my teenager helped and watched your video for my 2018
Good job but the cover was not fully in place at the end. I could tell that the top was still loose because I'm having the same issue with mine. If the top is secure then it is very hard to snap the clip back in place at the bottom.
Gotta be an easy way for this
Why does every simple job on every other vehicle have to be brain surgery on the Murano…

Used this video to replace the cabin filter on a 2016. If you are able to lay on your back and angle your head in that corner, it's a lot easier to see what you're working with. Removing the filter and replacing it was easy enough. But putting on the cap was annoying. The upper end of the cap has a hard slanted tab, what he doesn't mention is that the cap has two rectangle recesses, on either side of that slanted tab. If you are able to look straight up in that corner you will see two tabs which stick out. Right there is the trick to sealing up the filter housing. As those tabs slide right into those rectangular holes on the cap itself. Use a small enough angle to snag those tabs on the cap then apply even pressure up until you could clasp the bottom into place. Double check and it's perfectly sealed up.
Knowing that makes it so much easier. With that being said, if you have back issues or neck issues, don't try what I did, as it is an awkward position and will put strain on you. Also the space in the passenger area can be cramped, use a towel or pad if you lay on your back. Use your phone camera to take a video, if you can't maneuver in such a place, remember it's a tool as well, this can help to get a visual of the cramped space you are working with. Happy DIYing.
Thank you, sir. I really appreciate this tutorial because Jiffy Lube and take five charge you out the Wazzu.
