i wouldnt suggest it for a project car as a 16 year old, expect tickets and big bills for constant break downs these are 20 year old cars that most people dont take care of. good luck

Mishimoto.com says:

Hey Dylan – A 240SX would be a great car to get started with. Try to find the most rust-free vehicle possible and then start wrenching. The 240SX has a very large aftermarket support and a ton of active communities to help you along the way. A great choice for a project car! -Brian

Mishimoto.com says:

Hey there: @rjcolu is right on target - An intercooler cools the air coming from the turbocharger and the radiator cools the engine coolant. -Brian

pnwjdm says:

a radiator is for cooling your engine coolant. a intercooler is for turbo’d cars. the intercooler is on the compressed outlet side and it cools the air. the cold air has more oxygen by volume. So you can stuff more fuel into the cylinder while maintaining the proper air/fuel ratio. thats why people use intercoolers.

rjcolu says:

different all together, an intercooler is for cooling a turbo, a radiator is for keeping the engine cool and efficient.

thebeastisback1996 says:

so does an intercooler replace a radiator? if so why dont you get a intercooler rather than a big radiator?

will it work for a RB25det

seapeddler says:

I think that die stamped tanks would be more durable. Why are Griffin rads or Ford Racing rads more expensive? Why do we need a rad, and why is it placed out front where it can be damaged? Why aren’t coffins equipped with radiators?
