Thanks for posting this it was a big help I just need a multimeter to find the right wire to tap into and I will be good to go 🙂 I am building an old Astro Van with modern amenities 🙂
If it’s a mess, you are better off ripping all the old wiring out and rewiring it yourself. You can buy ‘universal fog light wiring’ kit off ebay for $20 which comes with relay and switch and reinstall it cleanly. Trying to clean up someone else’s wiring is more of a headache and time wasted. Trust me, been there, done that!
Hello dial2fast.. How do you do… Could you help me please. I bought a nissan quest. It has the fog lights connected to the headlights . I would like to have fog lights with a switch. Than you
You can definitely put some silicone. I do want to let you know that after half a year of use, everything still works (No LED burnt), but the flexible clear housing did yellow a bit due to the sun’s UV. I don’t think it looks bad at all, but thought I share that with you.
Good job! Thanks for the instruction! I’m going to buy that from eBay, too! Maybe you should have put some silicone sealant around the hole you drilled on the mirror housing to prevent potential water leak(In case water goes through the 3M in heavy rain).
I am happy you like that grill. The good news is it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for it because it’s not a grill overlay. I bought a roll 1/2″ wide chrome molding trim from Autozone and installed each strip on top of the original black grill. I found 1/2″ perfect to cover the width of each of those black squares on the factory grill. Do it one strip at a time and cut it to length.
I have the same nissan quest with the original black grill. I like your front chrome grill very much but i cannot find it on ebay. Can you tell me where you bought this aftermarket chrome grill for this vehicle? I appreciate this very much. Thanks
You will need a volt meter to test to find the pulsing 12v when the turn signal is on. The LED turn signal itself is polarity dependent, so if you connect the two wires and does not light up, switch the two wires. There is no easy way to this. If you not sure how to use a voltmeter, maybe ask if any of your friends know.
Yes I sold it after 1 year. I was having weird driving problems with the car and also not totally happy with it. I think the Altima is a great car, but I probably got an odd ball lemon. I traded it in for a Honda Odyssey. My wife is driving the Ody and I am now driving her old Quest. This is my fun car where I can put all kinds of crap on it. LOL.
Enjoy your install.
Thxs for ur video it helped me alot I am also planning to install in my car

It is not from the factory the other owner did by him self, it is a mess
Not possible with factory fog lights (this applies to most car manufacturers). Unless you do some serious rewiring to bypass the factory switch.

I ran mine through the front quarter panels. Going through the firewall would have been cleaner but more work.
So, in details how did you run the wiring from the mirror to front light
Yes, I stripped the wire back, wrap the new wire on and solder.
so do you strip the wire from the turn signal bulb and tie the led in there?
very neat
