Since I am IT and pivoting my career to Art and Music, I figured I'd like and subscribe to your channel just to be able to become a Vanlife Mechanic so I can fix it right the first time while helping others. Its kind of like building a computer just macro rather than micro. Either way I am gonna put my skills to the test and challenge with a used 2005 Nissan Quest I bought from a buy here pay here in Florida. The mechanic told me all I would need is power steering fluid and I would be good. I drove it off the lot and went to an AutoZone and got Lucas Stop leak Power Steering Fluid and Lucas Stop Leak Transmission Fix. Luckily I was at a gas station when apparently the car wouldn't start back up. I would turn the key and it would sound like a little toy race car going "zzzzzzzzZZZZZZIIIIINNNNNGGGG" and then rev back down. But the sound was electric like a loud whir. I have a Story on instagram under Zeno Matsumoto if you care to check it out in my Updates Highlights as I am documenting my journey. Let me know if I am stuck with a lemon. I am here lol because I am giving the dealer a chance to "replace the starter". I am also letting Jesus take the wheel and letting go by enjoying your beautiful voice and abilities. May this comment find you well, Namaste 🙂

For some reason my pump will not go in. Does anyone know why?

Andrew Coleman says:

I truly enjoy your videos. They are the most comprehensive of any I have seen. I especially like that you say the exact type and size of wrench or socket you use. If I were to offer any critique I would say it would be beneficial if at the beginning you were to lay out all the tools you would need so everyone can see the them.

Jonathan Barcenas says:

Any hints how break loose the 14mm behind the pump?

Jonathan Barcenas says:

Very helpful! Eventhough I still can’t get mine replaced the 14mm bolt, previous owner over tight it and not sure how I can loose it !

Michael Jones says:

I'd like to know the brand of clamp pliers being used. Don't look like the Knipex – anyone know the manufacturer?

Mike Rucko says:

John Jenkins says:

WOW, that’s the only word to describe what I’ve just seen. I only came across your channel by chance and I’m pleased that I have found it. I own a 2005 maxima and the information that you have given out is very much appreciated. Cheers from New Zealand.

I fought getting the pump LONG bolt in. My suggestion as it worked for me by attaching the adjustment bracket in place 1ST and swing pump in to put the bottom long bolt in. Any way you do this, it is NOT an easy one to do.
