This is a good video, but the way you clean up the slip ring contacts is
wrong, I had worked for Mitsubishi/Apm alternator assembly line before,
they use super fine sand paper to polish it, what can you do is use autosol
to clean it up if you do not have that of sand paper.
I’m going to start uploading videos of the auto work I do.

The diode is bad on my 2000 Infinity QX4 alternator, a Hitatchi LR1110-712,
with a hot output of 35Amps at 1,300 rpm, 85amps at 2,500 rpm, and 110Amps
at 5,000 rpm. How did you know where to go to buy a replacement diode.
Actually, my first question would be approximately how much would you
expect to pay to replace the brushes, bearings, and diode for a LR1110-712?
O’Reilly wants $200 for a new alternator.
