I am having difficulty removing the taillight assembly because of a sticky
black sealant. Can you suggest a way? Thanks.
I just changed the tail light on my 1999 Altima. You just open the trunk,
pull off the carpet on the wall opposite the tail light (after removing the
3 plastic screws), reach in, and twist to remove and replace all 3 bulbs.
Do i need to disconnect the battery negative cable to do this?

@diantepage You may want to check the fuse to see if it’s blown. That might
be the issue also.
i have quite a silly question, i am looking to purchase a new taillight on
aauto.com for my 2005 nissan altima. Now does it matter if its a 3.5 SL or

Your application may be different. If you open the trunk you should be able
to access the bolts that hold the taillight in place. We carry replacement

on, is it because I didnt take unscrew the nuts and unplug the light?
