I was wondering the same thing. my mirror /motor is fine. just the black part that mounts to the car got snapped off.

the part that is broken on my mirror is the black triangle part not the cover, can I replace the cover and put my original one since my car color is silver?

Thank you for this! I have an 06′ Maxima, the door pull looks a little different than the video shows however, is everything basically the same on the SE model vs. the SL Model? I plan on trying this tonight.

did this today in about an hour. only because i lost a lot of daylight outside and had to maneuver the street lamps. great tutorial! the dealer wanted to charge me $350 for the mirror plus labor. “hell nah!” i thought to myself. i’m so glad you guys put this on youtube. i ordered the part, and fixed my own driver side mirror for the low low price of $65. it was my first time fixing something on my own car and this was incredibly helpful and efficient. thanks so much!!
