Orlando Burgos says:

Ry good ans informative videos,
Where did you get the leds?

Ezdaar says:

I am paranoid like you are when it comes to heat shrinked connection, even when i solder them. This is my solution.
Once the connections are soldered together and before slipping the heat shrink over the joint. Do this. Apply a tiny drop of super glue on either side of the solder joint, then slide the heat shrink over the super glue and joint, then with tips of fingers slightly pinch the heat shrink and rotate it around the wire. This will coat the inside of the heat shrink and the outside of the wire fully.
Not heat and shrink it up. Once dry it will never come apart and is water proof if you applied enough super glue to fully coat the wire.

Ezdaar says:

Pro tip for you and ease of working with that light assemble once this mod is done.
Use JST Connectors. Always solder the female connector to the power side of the circuit, that way when unplugged its impossible to short tp ground if the connector touches a chassis ground.
Also, use at minimum steel wool to scuff the surface your soldering onto.
Pre tin your wire, then pre heat the surface that the wire will attach to. Then simply solder them together, it is a very fast procedure. Dont over heat the surface or risk melting plastics.

For this particular mod, with the jst plugs you can simply unplug the now three connectors and remove the light assembly.
Also use jst plugs on your led strips, this allows for fast and easy removal,of the strips when leds burn out. No need to remove the entire wire harness you created.
Recap, female jst connector at the light, wire run has male jst on each end, led strip has female jst on it.
This makes for simple no mistake install and repairs in the future.

And please fpr the love all all of our ears, STOP SUCKING YOUR TEETH!

Hey Ry! So I'm having a bit of a problem. So I am in the process of wiring everything up and I must have messed something up. So my LED's work but they won't shut off. The dome lights will turn off but the LED's won't. The only thing that I did differently is I didn't separate my negatives before I soldered them on. Is that where I messed up? Please help! Thanks man. Love the channel.
