Today we install the differential breather relocator mod on my 2005 Nissan Xterra. This is a great option for people who submerge their axel and diff in water. That or if you just want an upgrade and some piece of mind. If you want the exact kit I purchased you can find it here: https://www.alldogsoffroad.com/alldogs-offroad-rear-differential-breather-relocator-with-relocator-for-nissan-frontier-xterra

I’ve seen some kits include a filter. Is the filter necessary and what would be its purpose ?
❤ Thank you for another wonderful helpful video!!
You do an excellent job on this install thank you. I just ordered my kit from Alldogs for my Frontier yesterday.
I did exactly what you just did on my GX 460. Ran it behind the left rear tail light. Works great. Going to do it on our XTERRA, but I have a question for you. Why only the rear? Is there no breather on the front diff? How about the transfer case? I have really enjoyed all the content you put out. I have done so much work on my son's 2007 xterra and have been able to save him money and we've been able to extend the life of that vehicle. Most important is how much I have learned from you!!!!
Hey RY and advise please!! after watching this vid a bunch of times I installed the same diff breather kit to my 18’ Frontier. The oem breather took a little effort to unscrew but not crazy. When screwing in the ADO barb it took a little bit of effort to screw it down to axle. I got it screwed down to about just how yours looked with small gap left. On last tightening turn with the ratchet wrench I saw small bit tiny brass flakes!
Please any advice did I screw up my axle threads!?
This video is too perfect, followed it step by step and had my breather mod done in under an hour. Thanks for all you do RTCG!
I just got an 07 manual X. This channel is life for me! I am new to the Nissan and 4×4 world. Great videos!
I just did this breather mod to my 2010 nissan titan SE and used a 1/8 BSPT to 1/4 barb fitting since I couldn't find a fitting with a bigger barb size. I hope this helps people looking for the right 1/8 BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread (28 per inch)) fitting. Don't use 1/8 NPT bc the thread count (27 per inch) and design of the thread is different.
Glad to see you were able to quit you job to do this full time. Your dedication and hard work has obviously paid off…congrats!
What size is the hose fitting threads?
Nice video.
Wondering how many inches you lifted the car ?
Should I leave a few inches on the hose for when I add a lift?
Always amazed at the lack of not just rust , but no flaking rust on your Xterra
AND he golfs….this man has my heart
10:00
thats what I was thinking: why do I need this?
Thanks a lot!
Will this work on an Xterra with a 2 inch lift and 285/75/17 tires?
Brilliant video. Both rear axle seals on my 2012 Pro-4X are leaking.
This is a very important thing !! I should do it ASAP !! this channel really helps me alot!!
thank you friend .
Question: When increasing the venting length by 7'; Does this cause any issues with restricted ventilation flow? When considering the vented gas will have oil vapor in it; Would this pose a clogging potential from oily droplets condensing within the tube? Have you ran into any issue or heard of others that had problems arise from this mod? BTW, Thank you for the content you produce; It has been a invaluable resource over these past many years.
I really appreciate your vids. Thanks!
Their supplied bolt didn’t fit.
Necesito saber cuál es la medida del feeting la rosca ?
I just finished this on my 14 pro4X. It was very easy. Easier than I thought. I never would’ve attempted without this video though. I watched it like a million times. Thanks.
