This is I easy to do, the fact that the Nissan Dealership try to charge me $124 for this is ridiculous

scarrmd says:

excellent video. I just did this to my 2010 sentra se-r. Make sure that kick panel clips back in tightly!

Jerico Oliveros says:

i have nissan sentra 2012, is it still the same process?

Cristobal Breto says:

Thanks to this video I found the filter . that was very dirty . Thanks!!!

Bruce Gallespie says:

how about 1996 sentra? can’t find that video anywhere.

Scott Knot says:

Thanks for saving me money at the dealership. I appreciate the info in the video.

TarthStroodle says:

Scott Evans says:

Awesome video Thx!!

filterheads says:

We’re glad our video could help!

tulio mancilla says:

Excelente video gracias!!

filterheads says:

The 00-06 Sentra’s have one behind the glove box but the newer models use this filter.

NurseGidget says:

Is there only one cabin air filter? I saw another video for one behind the glove box.

filterheads says:

The Livina isn’t a model that was released in North America, so we don’t currently have any information on it. Sorry.

knightmare77012 says:

hi , i have a Nissan LIVINA 2010, but i never replaced the cabin air filter, how can i locate it,,is it similar to this video or located in another place somewhere??

filterheads says:

If something that smells bad were to get sucked up into the vehicle then the cabin filter would catch it. It’s quite possible that you vehicle has sucked up something. I would look at the cabin filter to see if there is anything to worry about.

rivasvillaj1952 says:

Hi! I have a Nissan Sentra 2012.
Every day when i turn on the AC a bad odor comes out of the ac vents. Like humidity.
After few moments this odor goes away, only happens when the car is park for several hours.
The dealer said its a in cabin ac filter. Its possible this happens with 3.5K miles??

filterheads says:

We’re glad the video helped! Good job replacing your own filter!

8BitProfessor says:

Thanks for your video. Dealership wanted $95 to change this. The filter was $8.99 at the auto parts store and took 5 minutes switch out. I hadn’t changed it for 60k miles. It was absolutely filthy and filled with dead leaves (in response to people saying they have never replaced it). Glad i replaced it when i did.

filterheads says:

The cabin air filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles or everyone one year.

Jocelyn OConnor says:

I agree. Its very awkward to get in there. What was Nissan thinking?

dsouzand says:

this was the stupidest place to put an air filter, how often should cabin air filter be changed? i just replaced the main one

Tony Garza says:

Can you make more videos on 2007 and newer nissan sentra’s for example. how to change spark plugs, coolant, or other things a person can do without going to dealership and getting charged and arm and leg for. Thanks.

filterheads says:

You’re welcome! We’re glad you found our video helpful.

Tony Garza says:

Thanks, something that I thought was very hard was very easy to install thank you.

filterheads says:

Yes, the procedure and filter are the same for the 2011 model.

keirabop says:

Is this process the same for the 2011 sentra?

razz says:

How often are there suppose to be replaced? My car has 180k, never been replaced.

SuperOxideDimutase says:

Why the hell would Nissan put it where’s it’s almost inaccessible? Put it behind the glove compartment like sane car manufacturers.

Snarkticon says:

Thanks a lot! :)

filterheads says:

Yes, is uses the same filter and should be located in the same place.

Snarkticon says:

Is the filter in the same place on the 2007 Nissan Sentra? The dealer wants $100 to replace it on my wife’s car … if it’s this easy then I’m doing it myself.

dubdub024 says:

thanks for the great video but got it cheaper from another store

filterheads says:

We’re glad you were able to save some money by doing it yourself!

KRISHIN THADANI says:

Thank you for posting this. Dealer wanted $60 to do this. filter was 10.99 at parts store.

william a says:

dude you just save me alot of money,,,thanks

william a says:

nissan dealership are a butch of thieves… they wanted to charge me 100 something dollars for something so easy to change,,,,

fishplateowner says:

Regarding replacing the cabin filter on my Sentra, the owner’s manual only instruction is to take your car to an authorized Nissan Service Center and let them replace it. Uh huh.

Humberto Cristobal says:

Thanks

filterheads says:

Although it’s the same setup, for the Altima the housing is on the other side of the middle console. You’ll have to take the glove box off to access it.

ceballdan says:

Not for 2010 Altima 3.5 SR

jayjaypify says:

Thanks. I messed around with the glove box and eventually i got to the filter after breaking the tab off the filter plastic cover! lol

filterheads says:

Your cabin filter is accessed from the passenger side foot area, similar to what you see in the Video. However, your glove box assembly has to be removed to get to it. This is a fairly involved process. There are six screws that hold the glove box assembly to the vehicle, three along the top and three along the bottom. We will try to get a video of a 2009 Altima soon.

jayjaypify says:

Your videos are really helpfull, however, I have a 2009 Nissan Altima, how do i change the cabin air filter?

EyeRuinMe says:

Thank you very, very much!!
