Great and thanks for the shaving tip! For future reference where did you get the clamp and if you have it the name/model #.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the video. I did exactly as you have shown and got my driver’s side visor fixed. Almost every repair place including my dealer , recommended changing the whole thing. It would have cost me $100-$200, but ended up being just $1.24 by doing it myself. I used a smaller size clamping hose, had to shave off a little plastic on the inside of the bracket.
Thanks again.

I actually did the same thing as you did even before I saw this video. I gave up on it when I can’t seem to maneuver the visor bracket when the clamps are in, so I used a hose clip (you gotta press to open) which worked for a few good months. Now its falling off again and I got to this video because I about to give up and but a new visor. Thanks, I will try it again and probably do the same thing you did putting the clamp on the outer side. Its the driver side visor that’s giving me the problem.

Most clips on YouTube about fixing and repairing are not detailed enough. Yours is clear and detailed. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I fixed mine this past weekend and it worked perfectly.

Thanks! I’m going to fix mine now, thanks to you!

thanks – just repaired mine!

I bought the brackets at Advance Auto Parts. These are hose clamps by Ideal model 5203v with clamping range of 5/16 inches to 7/8 inches. If you find smaller ones it might be easier.

This video was VERY HELPFUL. Thank you for doing this. Just saved me at least $50 for the dealership to “look” at it. The fixed it for me originally for free in the first year I had the car…I also did the other side as preventative maintenance….figured I was in there might as well get it done.

Please do more vidz of any other Quest items you tackle! We are out there and appreciate your work 🙂
