Installing The Bully Brand Side Steps On A 1994-2002 Doge Ram Trucks

These are The Bully Brand BBS-1103SZ but always check you part number for the vehicle/truck you own. This should be the same on 1994-2002 Dodge Ram trucks. This one was a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500.

This video was made as a demonstration on how to repair things and should not be done with out the proper training and safety equipment. The G Automotive and More and Its affiliates are not responsible for any damage or personal injury. Please if you don’t have the ability to do these demonstrations, don’t try and get a professional to do it for you.

Thank you for the video. We got a step something like the bully and my dad was a bit overwhelmed with the installation

@kansasgardener5844 says:

Actually for a Dodge Ram its group B and uses one of the silver brackets.

@Camila_Drew_4_Ever says:

Thanks I got the SAME steps and installed it in about an hour on my own with a cheap hand drill and some super sharp bits 🙂 – the step was so easy to drill lower hole into being aluminum, idk how they thought just 1 hole was going to work but the 2 works great.

I realize this video is 4 years old, but man am I super appreciative to you! I bought a pair of universal loop steps for my 01' Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab and this video nails the install 100%! Thank you!

@josephwriley says:

Thank you for showing real time the install with all the issues you encountered and not editing the video to make it look like it was easy and without issue.

This video helped me today. My low-budget steps came with weird brackets and no instructions. Thank you

You said good up to 2001 but the video list up to 2002. ???

@bartmillar1248 says:

just curious, I'm sure there's a reason but why do you have to step up the drill bit size from 1/8 up to 5/16 instead of just going with the 5/16 at the beginning? Thanks great video

How to install a set of Bully Side Steps to a 00 Ranger Ext.Cab.4Wd.Auto.Trans.3.0L.Stepside

@virgil5361 says:

I am glad to see this video as I can clearly see now that this step is only for ornamental use and not for actually stepping on if they are to just be affixed to thin flimsy sheet metal. If a two hundred pound man was to step on this the sheet metal would give way and flex and eventually over time it will break away from the sheet metal. Also, I am sure that if the company that built this step after years of engineering and manufacturing thought it needed the holes on the bottom they would have done so and not weakened the metal more.

Very helpful thank you.

What kind of shop would I take this to to get mine install just a regular body shop?

@albertbustos4587 says:

You gave me a headache

@jjgag601 says:

Thanks for the video. I need some similar steps, but I dont like the idea of them being installed to the pinchweld and the underside and not into the frame. How do you think the one's you installed will hold up to a 250 pound person getting in and out of the truck everyday. In the video you didn't try to hang on the steps or put much weight on them. Your honest opinion ?

@poidmanero4317 says:

I gave up when U said drill. Ain’t got the money to buy a one use drill

How much does it cost to have a shop install bully steps

@Fundaykidzz says:

Yes again nice video here’s a military tip wed put brush swab iodine on bare metal holes that we pre drilled or remove rivets from to prevent rust .. it was like the old grade school glue dispenser jars with the brush on the inside of the jar cap/lid presoaked in iodine ..remove cap Swab the hole replace rivet/bolt

@Fundaykidzz says:

Great video
