2005 -2020 Nissan Frontier Window Regulator Replace

2005 -2020 Nissan Frontier Window Regulator Replace

In this episode of DIY Willy, I will be replacing the tired old front passenger side window regulator in the 2008 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. The process showed in this video will work for either side of the Gen 2 trucks. Don’t let the thought of doing this repair scare you from completing the replacement yourself. It is an easy job and anyone with simple tools can do it.

Shop around when searching for replacement parts and find the best deal that fits your budget. Stock replacement parts would probably be the best choice but they are usually the most expensive. There are alternative parts like what I chose that will work just fine.

So follow along as we continue to repair and upgrade our 2008 Nissan Frontier.

Harbor freight has window suction cups that work great!

How can I determine if it's a 6 or 2 pin before taking it apart? I have a 2016 Nissan Frontier crew cab, I have to replace the driver's side.

When you lube the actual regulator do you mean that plastic wheel?

Thanks for posting your video. I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier. I had noticed for the past year or so that the drivers side window would go up and down really slow. But today…. when i lowered my window as I was driving… it went down just fine. But, when I pressed the button for it to go back up… nothing happened. First of all…. do you know if any of the fuses specifically go to the regulator? Second… do you think it's possible… that the tracks need to be lubricated …. and that maybe that might be the reason the window has been working so slow for the past year or more? Sounds like I would still need to remove the door panel, etc…. to get inside and spray the silicone inside the door? What do you suggest? Hopefully, the silicone spray will get everything loosened up and lubricated? I appreciate any help you can provide to me. Thanks so much Willy! — Tom

Suggestion – When you receive the NEW window regulator, TEST IT BEFORE you remove the OLD one.
If it is defective, you still have a drive-able truck to go back to the store and get another motor.
