you can make it work tho you have to make an adapter for the stock navi unit. I have posted a link in the description box where you can see how you can do it. It will give you a good idea of what you need to do. I will PM you the link as well.

I just bought the very same camera for my 2013 lancer and your video was very helpful in showing me what I needed to do.

THANKS

Esqu3l3to says:

thanks….the positive is connected to the white wire (reverse lights power) so that it powers the camera when you put it into reverse, the negative I ground did it to the factory bolt for the stock subwoofer.

Om Sharma says:

hey where did you connect those two negative and positive back up camera wire that you extended

Om Sharma says:

hey one thing i confused watching this entire video. u did gr8 job and appreciate your time for the video, but would you tell me where did you connect two wire negative and positive from back up camera that you extended plz

at night the quality is good, not great not horrible. It does help that the light the it comes with is LED. Overall is good for the cost of the camera. I’m sure the brand name cameras are way better tho.

Illusiv317 says:

Great install video, I’m thinking of installing one in my lancer. How is the quality of the camera at night. You didn’t mention anything about night vision. Just wondering

Esqu3l3to says:

there shouldn’t be any difference with an auto, the wires should be the same. as far as the stock nav i’m not sure what adapter(s) you would need as well as the camera mounts above the mitsubishi logo on the trunk so you have to make a hole to fit it.

edemonster321 says:

is it much different on an auto, and how about the stock rf navi that comes with some packages?

Esqu3l3to says:

the color for the reverse light is white and brighter than the oem, that is the one thing I dont like about this camera as I have the oem on the passenger side and it looks crappy compared to the one for the camera. You should be able to change it I don’t think you’ll be breaking any laws by having a different color for reverse lights but I would google it as they vary from province to province. sorry for the late response.

PuI2ePLaYaZ says:

Hey fellow Canadian and proud owners of Lancers! … just wondering … what color is the camera reverse lights outputting ? Is it white ? And also… can it be changed ? Because I was planning to put blue reverse lights in that spot above the license plate! (The rear tail lights still have the standard WHITE BACKUP reverse lights so I am not braking any laws)

Esqu3l3to says:

it should be in the same place I did in the trunk, but to make sure take your trunk lid cover off and trace the reverse light wire to where I did to make sure its the same color of wire. everything else should be the same as I did.

I have Pioneer AVIC F700bt. I know where to install the mic but I have automatic so whre should I tap in the wires for the camera?

Esqu3l3to says:

No Im not in Calgary, what HU do you have? most aftermarket HU allow you to install back up cameras and will include a mic if it comes with blutooth. If you watch the once video of when I installed the oem blutooth for my sisters outlander you can see how you can place it where the oem one goes as I did with hers. you can PM me if you have questions.

akane036 says:

Hey, nice how-to!
Are you in Calgary? If so, I was wondering if I could get any advices from you on installing back-up camera and aftermarket microfone.
I have 2011 Ralliart.
Thanks
